ePayLater Awarded FinTech Award for Promoting Digital Payments 2019

The FinTech sector in India is booming, and of late the Government of the country has also come forward to recognize the contribution of FinTech companies in India's economy. Recently ePayLater (a checkout lending platform providing credit at the point of sale) was awarded the FinTech Award for Promoting Digital Payments 2019, by the Ministry of Information and Technology, Govt. of India, for Innovation in Digital Payments through Lending, on the occasion of MeitY Start-up Summit, 2019. This has been the Government's first-of-its-kind recognition ceremony for FinTechs across the country. In the prestigious ceremony, ePayLater co-founder Akshat Saxena received the award form the Minister of IT, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad. ePayLater is India’s first UPI powered credit solution and the company is also planning to venture into the business credit genre.

Government initiatives such as National Payments Council of India (NPCI), Digital India Programme and Jan Dhan Yojana are creating a conducive atmosphere for FinTech companies. As per NASSCOM, the Indian FinTech market is likely to reach US$ 2.4 billion by 2020.
