As it grows its global competence centre in India, European fintech company Revolut aims to employ over 40% of its worldwide staff in the country by the year 2026. With 1,600 positions filled in its India centre through 2026, the company's workforce in the nation will reach 5,500 by year-end. This follows a five-year investment of 500 million pounds ($669.8 million) in the company's India business and GCC.

Revolt Presence in India

The new roles will cover a wide range of responsibilities, including product development, support, and financial services (including payment processing and fraud investigations). Right now, 12,000 people across the world are working with Revolut. Once viewed as economical outsourcing hubs, global competence centres in India today manage R&D, operations, and finances for their parent companies.

According to Jonathan Beaney, who heads talent acquisition at Revolut, India has one of the world's deepest and most vibrant talent pools. The technological calibre, desire, and quality that Revolut observes in India make the country an ideal long-term home, according to Beaney, who stated that the company's India tech hub is fundamental to its worldwide scalability.

India Centre Became a Major Workstation for Revolt

Approximately one-third of Revolut's operations, such as the development of routine transaction monitoring and AI-based alerts, are now carried out in India, according to India CEO Paroma Chatterjee's interview with a media outlet. According to Chatterjee, the India tech stack made some aspects apparent, such as video KYC. More intelligence was gathered from the India GCC, and that knowledge was then shared outside in an effort to adopt it in other regions for tighter onboarding.

Among Europe's top fintech startups, Revolut is worth $75 billion and was created in 2015. According to the company's statement, they want to debut their product next quarter in India and have the authority to issue prepaid payment instruments. Having said that, Revolut's growth into the GCC is unrelated to its operations in India.
