IAN Angel Fund backs The Artment’s pre-series A round of INR 10 crore

IAN Group, the country’s single largest early-stage investment platform, has invested in The Artment’s ₹10 crore pre-series A funding round, through its evergreen fund, IAN Angel Fund, with participation from other angel investors.

Founded by Aditya Agarwal (Co-Founder & CEO) and Aanchal Agarwal (Co-Founder & CFO), The Artment is a design-led, contemporary home décor and furniture brand that is reimagining modern living spaces through thoughtfully curated, functional, and aesthetic products. Headquartered in Gurgaon, the digital-first brand offers a wide range of mirrors, décor accents, furniture, lighting, storage solutions, and lifestyle essentials, serving customers across India and select global markets. Built with a clear focus on design-led differentiation rather than category sprawl, the brand operates with a disciplined product strategy that prioritises identifiable art styles, controlled SKU depth, and operational efficiency.

The company will use the fresh capital to accelerate product innovation, launch new categories, strengthen its supply chain and inventory capabilities, and invest in brand building and team expansion. The funding will also support its omnichannel growth strategy, including expanding its offline presence and scaling international sales through global marketplaces.

Since its launch, the company has seen strong traction, particularly in furniture and functional décor categories, along with healthy repeat customer demand, highlighting the growing preference for design-led, value-driven home solutions in India. The company’s operating model emphasises faster design-to-market cycles and lean inventory management, enabling it to respond quickly to evolving consumer preferences while maintaining consistency in product quality and customer experience.

Aditya Agarwal, Co-Founder & CEO, The Artment, said, “This investment will help us deepen our product innovation, strengthen our supply chain, and scale The Artment into a global lifestyle brand. Our focus has always been on blending design with functionality, and this capital enables us to build faster and smarter while staying true to our vision.”

The company was built to address a clear gap in the market, namely the limited availability of well-designed, functional home products at accessible price points for modern Indian consumers. The brand combines global design sensibilities with affordability and operational scale, catering to urban and semi-urban millennials and young families looking to create stylish yet practical living spaces. The founders bring complementary strengths across product, brand building, finance, and operations, enabling the company to balance creative ambition with execution discipline in a supply-chain-intensive category.

India’s home décor and furniture market, estimated at over $20 billion, is witnessing strong growth driven by rising disposable incomes, increasing home ownership, and rapid digital adoption. The Artment is positioning itself at the intersection of design and accessibility, competing with established players such as Urban Ladder, Pepperfry, Wakefit, and global brands like IKEA.

Going forward, the company plans to introduce new product lines across furniture, lighting, and storage, while strengthening its brand presence both online and offline. The company also aims to expand its international footprint and build a globally relevant lifestyle brand from India.
