Goodness Group Global Pty Ltd (GGG), an Australian health-focused beverage firm, was acquired by Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG division of Reliance Industries, on 7 February. This acquisition further establishes RCPL as a major player in the international health beverage industry and ushers it into the Australian consumer goods market. Incorporating GGG's well-known brands into RCPL's offerings, the company now offers Nexba and PACE, a hydration drink developed in collaboration with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins.

Moreover, the move will facilitate the expansion of these brands into other areas, such as India, for the corporation. The venture is "a daring step towards establishing RCPL as a global FMCG company from India", according to T Krishnakumar, RCPL's director. He continued by saying that GGG's products will be offered in more areas and that the acquisition will expand the company's selection of health-based beverages.

Goodness Group Welcomed the Move

The alliance was warmly received by Goodness Group founder Troy Douglas. He noted that RCPL is a perfect fit as a partner for the company's global expansion due to its robust supply chain and distribution network. Douglas said that the group has discovered a reliable and knowledgeable partner in RCPL. He further explained that this will help them achieve their five-year goal of expanding into fifty western markets.

The 'Better-For-You' beverages are the speciality of the Sydney-based Goodness Group. While BISON is a protein drink, Nexba is a calorie-free plant-based beverage that aims to promote intestinal health. In the same vein, GOOD BREKKIE provides nutritious liquid breakfast options, and PACE is a hydration drink that Cummins helped invent. Cummins has a huge fan base in countries where cricket is played.

How RCPL is Expanding its Footprints?

The purchase is in line with RCPL's strategy to expand its line of health-conscious beverages, which already includes RasKik, Sun Crush, Shunya, and zero-sugar carbonated drinks. Following forays into markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, RCPL also continues the company's worldwide expansion. Nevertheless, it is fulfilling its commitment to provide inexpensive worldwide quality.

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) wants to enter the bottled iced tea industry this coming summer with the relaunch of “Brew House". According to data from the commerce ministry, the company was approved for the trademark on July 23, 2025, and it is anticipated that the brand would be revived in the next two months. In 2024, the brand was purchased by the oil-to-retail company for an unknown sum.

The iced teas would be introduced in two flavours: lemon and peach, with a 200 ml bottle starting at INR 20. According to media sources, the product was initially planned to be launched for INR 10 for a 200 ml bottle. But now that the goods and services tax (GST) has been recast, the ready-to-drink market is subject to the higher rate of 40%. Therefore, the business chose to begin with INR 20 instead.
