TryfactaConnex to Invest $7.7 Billion in Uttar Pradesh to Build AI Infrastructure Hub
In order to launch its India AI infrastructure platform, TryfactaConnex, an affiliate of the US-based Tryfacta, recently announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The agreement includes an initial investment of roughly $7.7 billion to build a 1-gigawatt hyperscale AI data centre campus.
At the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, the announcement was made. According to TryfactaConnex's founder and CEO, Adesh Tyagi, the company's approach combines computational capacity and power generation into a single platform that can provide dependable baseload energy at scale. For the long-term deployment of AI capacity, India is one of the most important international markets, he added.
Specifics of the Project
The project lays the groundwork for an AI infrastructure platform that is vertically integrated. This technology, which is intended for large-scale artificial intelligence tasks, combines compute capacity with dedicated energy generation. The complex is set up to accommodate advanced research institutes, enterprise cloud operators, hyperscalers, and sovereign AI projects that need high-density computing and long-term energy stability.
TryfactaConnex anticipates that the development will assist enterprise computing, AI model training, domestic cloud infrastructure, and digital platforms used by the public sector. Additionally, it will establish India as a competitive hub for AI computing worldwide. TryfactaConnex's larger international strategy to implement gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure across numerous foreign markets includes the India platform. As part of the platform's staged funding approach, the company is actively interacting with energy developers, infrastructure funds, institutional investors, and strategic technological partners.
India AI Impact Summit 2026
On February 20, the India AI Impact Summit came to an end following a week of investment announcements. Today, February 21, the government issued the New Delhi Declaration. Major economies, including the US and China, were among the 88 nations and international organisations that supported this proclamation. By democratising AI resources and advancing secure AI systems, the proclamation highlights AI's potential for global welfare. This will necessitate international cooperation on human capital development, social empowerment, and economic prosperity.
Multilateral collaboration and global governance were the main topics of day five. The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence's member countries discuss advancements in inclusive and responsible technology at the GPAI Council Meeting, which took place at the beginning of the day. The next summit on artificial intelligence is planned for Geneva in 2027. A UN council on AI will strive for "science-led governance", according to UN chief Antonio Guterres. The leader of the US delegation emphasised the difficulties in reaching an agreement and cautioned against centralised control of generative AI.
