Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin of Greenspace Herbs on Pioneering Quantum Ayurveda™, Building IP-Led Botanical Science, and Making Indian Herbs Globally Verifiable
📝Interviews
StartupTalky presents Recap'25, a series of exclusive interviews where we connect with founders and industry leaders to reflect on their journey in 2025 and discuss their vision for the future.
In this edition of Recap’25, StartupTalky speaks with Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin, Founder and Managing Director of Greenspace Herbs, who reflects on building a next-generation botanical science company at a time when the global wellness and nutraceutical industry is shifting from traditional, intuition-led remedies to evidence-based, scientifically validated solutions. Nuruddin shares how Greenspace Herbs was founded with the vision of transforming Ayurveda from storytelling into measurable science by bridging ancient herbal wisdom with quantum physics, advanced analytics, and AI-driven research.
He goes on to discuss how rising demand for proven efficacy, regulatory scrutiny, and performance-led wellness have reshaped the botanical and nutraceutical landscape. The conversation explores Greenspace Herbs’ proprietary Quantum Ayurveda™ framework, AYUQUANTA 7™ process, AI-powered formulation discovery, and its roadmap for positioning India as a global leader in high-value, IP-driven herbal innovation while navigating trust, standardisation, and long-term scientific execution.
StartupTalky: What does Greenspace Herbs do? What was the motivation/vision with which you started?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: Greenspace Herbs is a next-generation botanical science company pioneering Quantum Ayurveda™. We bridge the gap between 5,000-year-old Ayurvedic wisdom and modern quantum physics to create high-efficacy herbal formulations.
The Motivation: We noticed a "broken" global supply chain where people trusted Indian herbs but lacked scientific proof of their effectiveness. Our vision was to move Ayurveda from "storytelling to algorithms"—turning traditional intuition into measurable, data-driven science that the modern world can validate and trust.
StartupTalky: What is/are the USP/s of your products?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: Our core USP is our AYUQUANTA 7™ process and Resonance Locking Technology.
• Beyond Chemistry: While others only standardize chemical actives (e.g., % curcumin), we measure and "tune" the herb's vibrational frequency to match the body’s biological rhythms.
• Lower Dosage, Higher Impact: By optimizing the energetic state of the plant matrix, our ingredients (EASI™ - Energized Active Supplement Ingredients) achieve better results at lower doses.
• Fingerprinted Precision: To make sure that the biological results are always the same, each batch is checked with advanced analytics like Raman Spectroscopy and NMR.
StartupTalky: How has the industry you are in changed in recent years and how has your Greenspace Herbs adapted to these changes?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: The industry has shifted from "generic wellness" to "evidence-based nutraceuticals." Consumers no longer want just "natural"; they want "proven."
• How we adapted: We evolved from being a contract manufacturer of extracts to an IP-led R&D powerhouse. We invested in a world-class laboratory in Bengaluru to move beyond commodity trading and into high-value, patentable "Quantum" ingredients that meet stringent global pharmaceutical standards.
StartupTalky: What key metrics do you track to check the Greenspace Herbs's growth and performance?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: As the company is in its start-up phase, key performance metrics cannot be fully established at this stage. However, we are highly confident in the new technology we are introducing to the market the Quantum Ayurveda concept. Since this is a novel approach, overall performance will largely depend on consumer and customer acceptance, which will be a key driver of the company’s success going forward.
StartupTalky: What were the most significant challenges Greenspace Herbs's faced in the past year and how did you overcome them?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: The biggest challenge was Standardizing the Intangible. Explaining "energy signatures" to a skeptical scientific community required rigorous proof.
• The Solution: We spent 3.5 years in R&D before a major launch. We overcame scepticism by publishing data, investing in electron microscopy, and partnering with international bodies to prove that our quantum-tuned herbs have a different, more effective molecular behaviour.
StartupTalky: What are the different strategies you use for marketing? Tell us about any growth hack that you pulled off.
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: At present, we are executing consumer outreach in the U.S. market through influencers, nutraceutical experts, and industry doctors. Our focus is on educating the digital audience about our products and the underlying technology.
Since we are a start-up, we have created a unique and differentiating product and technology and thus far, there have been no significant obstacles or opposition to its uptake. We are seeing a high level of inquiry and growing interest in the technology, and customers are reacting more and more warmly to the Quantum Ayurveda concept. To expand on this positive response, we are actively encouraging market use and knowledge of this technology.
StartupTalky: What are the important tools and software you use to run your business smoothly?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: Like any established nutraceutical company, we have all key departments in place to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Our internal processes, structure, and capabilities are all consistent with sustainable growth.
In order to identify regions with substantial demand for nutraceuticals, we are now focussing on doing thorough, country-specific market research. At the same time, we are carefully selecting which market niches have obvious gaps—areas where larger businesses have fallen short of client expectations. By concentrating on these underserved markets, we want to offer distinctive solutions that make a big difference.
StartupTalky: How are you integrating AI into your product?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: AI is our "internal R&D engine."
• Formulation Discovery: We use AI to analyze thousands of bioactive frequencies to predict which herb combinations will work best for specific outcomes like "Neurovascular Comfort."
• Impact: This has reduced our formulation lead time by 40% and allows us to provide "Digital Dossiers" to clients that predict how an ingredient will behave in the human body before a single pill is even taken.
StartupTalky: What opportunities do you see for future growth in India and the world? Market behaviour differences?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: The global botanical market is projected to hit $400 billion by 2030, and we want India to lead that shift from "raw herb exporter" to "IP owner."
• Market Behaviour: In the US/Europe, the focus is on "Clean Label" and performance. In India, we see a fascinating split: urban states (like Karnataka and Maharashtra) are moving toward preventive, tech-backed wellness, while other regions still value traditional "Dadi-ma" remedies. We bridge this by keeping the "soul" of the herb intact while upgrading its "delivery."
StartupTalky: How do you plan to expand the Customers, product, and team base in the future?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: By interacting directly with well-known, branded businesses and outlining the benefits of Quantum Ayurveda, we are growing our clientele. When compared to traditional branded products, our talks emphasise the higher quality of our compounds, improved bioavailability, and quantifiable advantages—especially in terms of quicker absorption and initiation of action.
The reaction has been really positive. Promising preliminary results from ongoing clinical trials support the technology's efficacy and the product line's strength. These results confirm that Quantum Ayurveda is a powerful, high-impact option for companies looking to stand out and innovate in the nutraceutical market.
StartupTalky: One tip for aspiring entrepreneurs?
Shafiulla Hirehal Nuruddin: Fall in love with the problem, not the product." We spent years solving the problem of "inconsistent herbal results" before we ever launched a brand. If your science is robust and you are solving a genuine gap in human trust, the market will eventually find you.
