StartupTalky presents Recap'25, a series of exclusive interviews where we connect with founders and industry leaders to reflect on their journey in 2025 and discuss their vision for the future.
In this edition of Recap’25, StartupTalky speaks with Ravi Goel, CEO of RapidShyp, who reflects on how India’s eCommerce and logistics landscape has rapidly evolved in 2025, driven by rising D2C adoption, deeper penetration into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, and growing expectations around speed, reliability, and data-led decision-making. Goel highlights the operational complexities brands face as they scale—ranging from fragmented courier networks to high RTO rates—and why traditional logistics systems often fall short in meeting modern eCommerce demands.
He goes on to discuss how RapidShyp is addressing these challenges through a tech-first, AI-enabled shipping aggregation platform that brings multiple courier partners, predictive delivery intelligence, and end-to-end visibility under one unified interface. The conversation explores RapidShyp’s expansion into enterprise logistics with Cargo+, the role of AI-powered tools like Ayumi in improving delivery success and cost efficiency, and the company’s roadmap toward same-day delivery, quick commerce enablement, and deeper AI-driven optimisation across India’s fast-growing logistics ecosystem.
StartupTalky: What service does RapidShyp provide? What was the motivation/vision with which you started?
Ravi Goel: RapidShyp is a tech-enabled eCommerce shipping aggregation platform that helps D2C brands manage their logistics operations via a single, unified interface. It integrates multiple courier partners, marketplaces and operational tools, enabling brands to ship, track and optimise deliveries across India with greater speed, accuracy and control.
The platform was conceived to cater to the fragmentation that often plagues eCommerce logistics. As D2C brands scale, they recurrently face complexity in managing multiple courier relationships, reconciling shipment data and minimising delivery failures. Backed by the logistics expertise of its parent company, Om Logistics, RapidShyp was created to close the gap between traditional capabilities and the needs of modern eCommerce. The company strives to provide tech-first, agile solutions that simplify logistics, supports sustainable growth and evolves in step with the changing eCommerce domain.
StartupTalky: What new services have been added in the past year? What is/are the USP/s of your service?
Ravi Goel: In the past year, RapidShyp has expanded its offerings considerably and strengthened its position as a leading logistics tech platform in India. One of the most notable launches has been the mobile app to make eCommerce shipping faster, more accessible and fully digital. Our app brings together 16 courier partners, competitive shipping rates and coverage across over 29,000 pin codes. Its flagship feature, Scan to Manifest, allows sellers to accept multiple shipments through a single barcode-based document, eliminating the need for specialised hardware and reducing package handover time. Enhancements such as smart order management, next-day delivery options, RapidCOD, shipment security cover and dedicated shipping advisors further improve operational efficiency for D2C brands.
RapidShyp also made an entry into enterprise logistics with the launch of Cargo+. It is a unified platform purpose-built for heavy, bulk and large-scale shipments to enable businesses to manage full-truckload, partial-truckload and heavy cargo movements. The platform offers transparent, multi-carrier pricing, appointment-based deliveries, dedicated shipping advisors and end-to-end shipment visibility, giving enterprises control, speed and cost efficiency. A major differentiator within Cargo+ is the integration with Government of India’s ULIP. By utilising ULIP datasets, including FASTag-based inputs, we enhance real-time shipment visibility and monitoring, mainly in regions where traditional GPS tracking is limited. Backed by a comprehensive API suite, Cargo+ manages the entire shipping lifecycle, from address verification and label generation to automated courier allocation, real-time tracking, shipment security, CSD and mall deliveries, and door-to-door fulfilment.
Complementing these operational advances, we recently launched Ayumi, an AI-powered delivery intelligence engine. Ayumi introduces predictive accuracy of up to 99% by analysing buyer behaviour, address reliability, regional fulfilment trends and courier performance data. It delivers actionable RTO scoring, accurate estimated delivery dates and intelligent courier recommendations based on cost, speed and service consistency. An integrated AI support assistant further enhances efficiency by providing prompt responses to tracking queries, delivery clarifications and platform navigation, that too under RapidShyp’s zero platform fee model.
StartupTalky: How the industry you are in changed in recent years and how has your company adapted to these changes?
Ravi Goel: The logistics and eCommerce ecosystem has witnessed speedy transformation in recent years, led by continued growth in online consumption, penetration into Tier II and Tier III cities, and increasing category diversification across fashion, beauty, electronics and daily essentials. Shipment volumes have risen sharply, especially during festive periods, while brands have placed more emphasis on speed, reliability and data-led decision-making. At the same time, the industry has seen a shift towards AI-based forecasting and predictive analytics to manage scale, reduce delivery failures and improve cost efficiency.
RapidShyp has adapted to these changes by investing heavily in technology, network expansion and intelligent automation. Just this festive season, the platform recorded 57% growth, significantly surpassing other players in the market. Our reach across 29,000+ pin codes, combined with partnerships with leading courier providers, enabled smooth handling of higher shipment volumes without compromising service quality. Features such as SmartSelect for intelligent courier allocation, automated label generation and real-time shipment tracking helped brands maintain speed and accuracy.
To further address concerns around delivery success and cost control, RapidShyp strengthened its NDR and RTO management capabilities via predictive AI models that assess buyer behaviour, courier performance and regional delivery patterns. These tools allowed sellers to anticipate risks and take corrective action before issues escalate. Complemented by value-added services such as shipment security cover, insurance and premium handling, RapidShyp aligned its offerings with the demands of modern eCommerce to offer reliability and long-term scalability to sellers.
StartupTalky: What key metrics do you track to check the RapidShyp's growth and performance?
Ravi Goel: Shipment volume is a key benchmark for us, as it captures market traction as well as the platform’s ability to support demand. Between September 2024 and September 2025, the number of shipments processed on the platform went up from 69,142 to 460,740, marking a sizeable year-on-year rise. This growth exhibits the robustness of our technology infrastructure, the widening of courier partner ecosystem and the capacity to manage higher volumes without compromising reliability. In parallel, delivery success rates, RTO levels and courier performance metrics are traced to ensure that expansion is sustainable and performance standards continue to improve.
StartupTalky: What were the most significant challenges your RapidShyp faced in the past year and how did you overcome them?
Ravi Goel: Over the past year, RapidShyp operated in a setting marked by scale, high expectations and fierce competition. However, as the platform expanded its capabilities, the focus remained on establishing strong benchmarks for reliability, integration and performance while also onboarding businesses and logistics partners. By prioritising technology additions, integrating merchant feedback into product enhancements and utilising operational expertise, RapidShyp strengthened trust across the ecosystem. This approach, in due time, placed the company as an innovation-led logistics partner and cemented its standing as a frontrunner in the eCommerce and B2B logistics domain.
StartupTalky: What are the different strategies you use for marketing? Tell us about any growth hack that you pulled off.
Ravi Goel: We employ digital advertising to drive brand visibility and customer acquisition. In addition to this, we collaborate with event management firms and marketplace campaigns to reach targeted audiences effectively. This Diwali, we launched a campaign that garnered massive engagement and boosted shipments, signifying the impact of well-timed, seasonal marketing initiatives. Such efforts help maintain steady growth while strengthening brand recall among D2C and eCommerce sellers.
StartupTalky: What are the important tools and software you use to run your business smoothly?
Ravi Goel: At the very core of our operations is an integrated order management system that automatically synchronises orders from multiple eCommerce sales channels, in turn reducing manual effort and centralising workflows for fulfilment efficiency. This system supports bulk shipping actions, document generation and analytics, enabling businesses to manage the entire post‑order process from one place.
Our AI‑enabled courier recommendation engine, SmartSelect, analyses factors such as delivery SLA, cost, pickup performance and serviceability to suggest the fastest, cheapest, top-rated courier partner for each shipment. Real‑time shipment tracking and comprehensive NDR tools allow merchants to monitor delivery progress and promptly resolve exceptions. The platform also includes an Xperience Suite, which enables branded tracking pages and omnichannel customer communication. Value‑added features such as shipment security cover, RapidCOD and dedicated shipping advisors further ensure operational continuity and support.
Besides, multi‑channel integrations with major eCommerce platforms, including Shopify, WooCommerce and Unicommerce, streamline data flow and reduce manual intervention. Put together, these tools and software modules enable us to deliver actionable insights through powerful dashboards, and support businesses with end‑to‑end shipping solutions.
StartupTalky: What opportunities do you see for future growth in your industry in India and the world? What kind of difference in market behaviour have you seen between India and the world?
Ravi Goel: In India, the need for hyperlocal and same‑day deliveries is intensifying, especially in Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 cities, supported by micro‑fulfilment centres, AI‑driven route optimisation, and predictive analytics. Sustainability and operational transparency are also becoming notable differentiators, with green logistics solutions and real‑time tracking gaining prominence.
Globally, automation, AI, robotics, drones, and cloud‑based supply‑chain platforms are transforming efficiency, visibility, and scalability in logistics. Businesses are also focusing on resilience and sustainability, utilising technologies like IoT and blockchain to enhance traceability, reduce environmental impact, and mitigate supply‑chain disruptions. Overall, the future points to smarter, faster, and more sustainable logistics, offering ample opportunities for innovation and expansion.
Consumer behaviour in India is largely influenced by price sensitivity, flexible payment preferences, and demand for fast deliveries. Businesses prioritise adaptability and last‑mile innovation to serve a geographically diverse and expanding market. As opposed to this, logistics across the globe is more technologically advanced, with a focus on streamlined operations, supply-chain integration, and predictive demand planning. Consumers seek reliability, transparent tracking, and sustainable delivery practices, and companies invest heavily in automation, robotics, and AI-driven optimisation to improve efficiency. At the moment, cross-border logistics and regulatory compliance also have a major role to play in shaping global market behaviour.
StartupTalky: How are you using AI, whether in service delivery, internal processes, or customer experience, and what impact has it created?
Ravi Goel: We use AI extensively across service delivery, internal operations, and customer experience. To begin with, our AI-powered delivery intelligence tool, Ayumi, analyses historical order data, regional delivery patterns, and buyer behaviour to provide up to 99% accurate delivery predictions. This enables sellers to plan smarter shipping strategies, mitigate risks such as RTOs, and improve first-attempt delivery success.
AI is also applied to courier allocation and routing, optimising performance based on carrier reliability, cost efficiency, and SLA adherence. Automation complements these capabilities by handling routine tasks such as address verification, label generation, and inventory management, freeing operational resources to focus on value-added services. During peak periods, predictive demand forecasting and pre-intimation of callouts ensure seamless coordination with delivery partners, allowing the platform to manage high shipment volumes efficiently. From a customer perspective, AI powers an intelligent chatbot that provides instant updates on tracking, delivery timelines, and platform navigation. These capabilities have strengthened RapidShyp’s operational backbone to a great extent.
StartupTalky: How do you plan to expand the customers, service offering, and team base in the future?

Ravi Goel: We are already working towards enabling same-day and next-day deliveries by collaborating with local courier networks and extending our reach to deliver faster fulfilment across regions. Our focus on quick commerce and ultra-fast delivery solutions will further address the growing demand for speed and convenience in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Concurrently, we are refining our AI-driven courier recommendation engine, integrating richer datasets and predictive insights along with additional carrier partnerships. This will give users more precise, performance-based suggestions. On the talent front, we are investing in a specialised workforce across technology, operations, and customer success to support growth and maintain a high standard of service.
StartupTalky: One tip that you would like to share with another service company leaders?
