Not just blogger and writers, but companies too need quality content on their website. It is not just because of ranking but also for user experience. Quality content is something which sparks a fire to buy your product in prospect’s mind.
Therefore, every company website needs quality content. Also, bloggers need quality content to bring back visitors to their website. But what is quality content? How Google identify the “quality content”? Let’s see some factors which you can work on and rank your website along with satisfying the visitors.
Do In-depth Research
Perform In-depth research before start writing. Spy on your Competitor's content. Use a tool like Buzzsumo to check what types of content are getting the most number of shares and trending on social media. Follow the Influencers or bloggers of your niche.
Perform Keyword Research & Optimize
Find the relevant keywords with decent search volume and less competition. Use tools like Ubersuggest, Keyword Everywhere to perform keyword research. Then build and optimize your content according to your target keywords.
Length of Article
You may have so much knowledge banked in you. And you may also want to bring it all out in your blog, but not everyone wants to read your whole story. Therefore, you have to keep it as short as possible. It doesn’t mean that you have to remove the important lines. Include whatever you think is important. In fact, you should not post a very short post either. The minimum number of words you should include are 450 per post. But again, don’t stretch it too much like 5000 or 6000 words in one post. If it’s necessary, then include a page break in the post. This will make the post easy to read.
Focus On Text Formatting
Text formatting means to make it more good looking. You can make the important words bold or Italic to focus on them. If you think you wrote an amazing paragraph which no one in the world can even think of, just highlight the whole para. If needed you can also change the colors or increase the size of texts. Furthermore, you can and you should change the size and color of the heading.
Write Killer Headlines
Now, when we are talking about headings, why don’t go in its depth. The heading is the first thing your visitor will see. In fact, they are the silent marketer working for your website. Heading attracts the visitor to click on your link. You might somehow rank your website on a keyword, but it doesn’t matter if no one is coming to your website.
Therefore, make a catchy heading, something attractive. The heading should address the problem along with the hope of a solution. Something like “Why Windows 10 use so much data and 5 ways to solve this problem”. However, you should go for a smaller heading, it is way too long. Some research says that you should include numbers in the headings, as I used “5 ways” here in the example. The conversion rate will be much more with this.
Sometimes I visit some website and read the full article just to get one particular piece of information. But, I read the whole article so carefully that I forget what I was finding. Now, the whole article might be interesting, but I don’t need all those information. I just wanted one info. This just wastes my time, and I never visit that website again. So, to be sure that it never happens with your website, don’t overload your content with wasteful information. Just come to the point and solve the problem.
Include ReIevant Images
Images and videos help you to describe your content. People can relate your content more efficiently. Also, an article without any image feels so empty. However, just remember that the image should be relevant.
There are many websites which tell the readability of your content with the help of some pre-defined factors. These factors were defined after a deep research on human’s readability. So, you can check if your content is easy to read or not. These websites are free. You can also go for Yoast.com which will tell you your readability score along with some other data like transition words count, etc.
If you are a blogger with some experience, then you must already know that how important internal and external links are for your website. Internal links are the links to the web pages of your own website while external links are the links to other websites. They are the main factors Bounce Rate depends on.

At the end of the day, what matters the most in content quality, is the value you give to your readers. In their latest update, Google stated that they will focus on the valuable content. So, try to add some valuable and original content. Include your own thoughts about the topic. Your experience, some tips, tricks, downsides, etc. can be a great source of value.

Most of the above points are focused on ranking, but the last point is totally focused on user experience. How can Google’s algorithm read the “value” given in the article? It is unbelievable, but they said so. And they are Google, so I don’t think they are fooling us on the biggest factor of the internet. Hence, just focus on the value of the content. Don’t copy and paste the content from other’s website. And from “copy and paste”, I mean that just don’t re-write other’s article in your own words. Try to research, understand and then express it all in your blog.
