The company has stated that it has taken the required precautions and established policies to lessen the impact of the occurrence and that these efforts have been fruitful thus far.

A cybersecurity incident, including a ransomware assault affecting the systems of Bajaj Auto Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary, Bajaj Auto Technology Limited, has happened, the firm declared in the stock filing. Following the incident's discovery, the company's technical team, cybersecurity specialists, and management wasted no time in responding and taking the required precautions, according to the filing. Additionally, mechanisms have been put in place to lessen the impact of this tragedy, and thus far, all indications are that the response has been successful.

Bajaj Auto Informed CERT-In

Bajaj Auto provided additional details on the cyberattack, stating that it happened on June 23, 2026, at approximately 08:00 a.m. (IST). In accordance with the Information Technology Act of 2000, CERT-In has been informed about the attack. The ransomware attack's specifics, the extent to which it affected data, and the impact on production, sales, the supply chain, and customer-facing activities were all kept under wraps by the corporation.

The event serves as a stark reminder of the growing cybersecurity dangers that automakers are confronting due to the rising digital connectivity of vehicles, plants, and supply chains. Enterprise software solutions are vital for modern automobile companies' production processes, inventory control, vendor relations, product creation, and dealer networks. Schedules for manufacturing, logistics, or critical company data could all be messed up by a successful ransomware assault.

Cyberattack on Tata Electronics

Ransomware gangs have been targeting manufacturing companies more and more in recent years. This is because these companies stand to lose a lot of money if their production is interrupted. A recent cybersecurity vulnerability was discovered by Tata Electronics, the company announced on June 22. According to experts, the Indian group's clients Apple and Tesla were among those whose component design and specification papers were leaked by World Leaks. In an interview with a news outlet, security researchers revealed that the ransomware organisation had uploaded over 200,000 files to the dark web.

A few weeks ago, Tata Electronics discovered a cybersecurity incident on certain of its systems, according to a statement. The incident had little effect on Tata's operations across its divisions, and the company's reaction measures were put into place right away.

A media report stated that Apple was conducting an investigation into the hack and a thorough study was underway. Tata reportedly received a ransom demand in connection with the incident, according to the report. Tata is under investigation for allegedly polluting farmlands close to one of its iPhone parts factories in India.
