Discovered Materials Raises $9 Million Seed Funding

Discovered Materials is an AI-driven deep-tech startup tackling thermal dissipation in AI chips, which can generate heat exceeding 140W/cm². Founded by Advaith Sridhar and Akash Ramdas, the company develops thermally conductive dielectric materials for 3D chip packaging using cloud-based autonomous AI agents.

The startup raised $9 million (~₹75 crore) in a seed round led by Lightspeed India Partners, with participation from Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners and angel investors including Paul Graham, Gokul Rajaram and Thariq Shihipar.

Proceeds will fund team and laboratory expansion and the scaling of its AI research agents. The company plans to patent promising material candidates and licence resulting thermal-management technologies to global chipmakers.

Ayati Devices Raises ₹15 Crore Pre-Series A

Ayati Devices is a Bengaluru-based medtech startup founded in 2019 by Nishant Kathpal and incubated at IIT Bombay's SINE. It makes portable, point-of-care diagnostic devices for diabetic foot complications and peripheral vascular disease, including the Vibrasense, Vasosense and Angiocam products.

Ayati Devices raised ₹15 crore (~$1.5 million) in a Pre-Series A round led by Inflexor Ventures. Ayati claims deployment across 30 countries, more than 10,000 devices placed and over one million screenings completed.

The fresh capital will go towards commercialisation, domestic and international market expansion, manufacturing capacity and AI research investment.

FreightFox Raises ₹5 Crore Pre-Series A

FreightFox is a Pune-based AI-powered Transportation Management System and control tower platform founded in 2020 by Nitish Rai, Sandeep Mukhopadhyay, Vikas Singh and Dhananjaya Shetty. It serves large manufacturing enterprises including AB InBev, Bridgestone, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.

The startup raised ₹5 crore in a Pre-Series A round led by HighLeaf, with participation from Vijender Yadav, Puru Gupta and Aeravti Ventures. This follows a ₹2 crore angel round in 2020 and a ₹4.5 crore seed round in 2023.

Funds will be deployed to expand enterprise sales and distribution channels and enter international markets. The platform has managed over six million trips and facilitated more than $2 billion in freight procurement to date.

Vecton AI Raises ₹6 Crore Pre-Seed Funding

Vecton AI is a Bengaluru-based startup founded last year by Himanshu Goyal and Gaurav Mandlecha. It builds production-ready, compliant AI and autonomous agent systems for mid-market and enterprise BFSI customers, helping them move AI projects from proof-of-concept to live deployment.

Vecton AI raised ₹6 crore in a pre-seed round led by Zeropearl VC, with participation from other undisclosed investors. Vecton AI says it currently serves 10 customers, including several publicly listed companies.

Capital will be used to accelerate enterprise AI product development, strengthen its Forward Deployed Engineer model and broaden its presence across banking, financial services and insurance.

Table Space Files DRHP With SEBI for ₹800 Crore IPO

Managed workspace provider Table Space has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus with SEBI for an IPO comprising a fresh issue of up to ₹800 crore and an offer for sale of up to 6.55 crore equity shares. Of the fresh-issue proceeds, ₹550 crore is earmarked for debt repayment, with the remainder for acquisitions and general corporate purposes. Hillhouse Investment, which holds a 41.76% stake, plans to offload 4.98 crore shares via the OFS. Founded in 2017, Table Space manages over 11 million sq ft across 80-plus centres in nine Indian cities, serving 431 clients including 45 Fortune 500 companies and 115 global capability centres.

Maharashtra FDA Suspends Blinkit's Malad West Facility Licence

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration suspended the food licence of a Blinkit dark store in Mumbai's Malad West on 7 August after inspectors found cockroaches in fruit and vegetable storage areas and extensive food-safety violations. The inspection flagged improper storage, expired and damaged products, absent pest controls, poor waste management and missing health records for food handlers. The facility has been barred from selling or distributing food until further orders. Blinkit faced a similar action at a Pune dark store in 2025, as did rival Zepto at a Mumbai warehouse in June 2025.

Capillary Technologies Promoter Offloads ₹172 Crore Stake in Bulk Deal

Singapore-based holding entity Capillary Technologies International Pte Ltd. sold 32.9 lakh shares of listed SaaS firm Capillary Technologies on 11 August at ₹520.86 each, raising ₹171.5 crore in a bulk deal at a marginal 0.02% discount to the previous close. The sale dilutes over 8.5% of the promoter entity's holding, which stood at 48.92% as of June 2026. The deal follows a difficult period for the stock: shares are down more than 22.5% year-to-date after the company reported a net loss of ₹9.6 crore in Q1 FY27 and disclosed a ₹32.7 crore loss from a cyber-enabled banking fraud at a Czech subsidiary.
