Google offers free Gemini Pro AI plan worth INR 35,100 to all Reliance Jio Users

Google and Reliance Industries have launched a strategic agreement that will provide eligible Jio consumers free access to Google AI Pro, a premium product worth INR 35,100 per user, for 18 months. As part of Reliance's "AI for All" mission, the partnership seeks to democratise access to artificial intelligence throughout India.

Access to Google's most sophisticated Gemini 2.5 Pro model via the Gemini app, improved picture and video generation capabilities with Nano Banana and Veo 3.1 models, increased Notebook LM access for research and study, and 2 TB of cloud storage are all included in the free Google AI Pro subscription.

Jio’s Young Subscribers to Get First Access to Google AI Pro

Customers of Jio who qualify can use the MyJio app to directly activate the deal. Young users between the ages of 18 and 25 would be given priority during the initial deployment, with intentions to quickly reach all Jio customers nationwide. Recharged users with unlimited 5G subscriptions would be able to use the free Google AI Pro plan, which starts at INR 198.

The partnership includes enterprise solutions in addition to consumer products. Reliance Intelligence will join Google Cloud as a strategic partner, giving businesses more access to Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), Google's cutting-edge hardware accelerators for artificial intelligence.

Win-Win Situation for Reliance and Google

The collaboration will expand Jio's dedication to ensuring AI tools are available to the nation's young by investigating the development of locally relevant AI experiences that are suited to India's heterogeneous cultural and linguistic terrain. Beyond the advantages for customers, Reliance Intelligence has joined Google Cloud as a strategic partner to increase access to its cutting-edge Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), or AI hardware accelerators, in India.

This action attempts to facilitate faster inferencing for demanding projects and assist organisations in training and implementing larger AI models. The project is in line with Reliance's goal of developing multi-gigawatt, clean energy-driven, independent computing infrastructure in India. The partnership will bolster the nation's AI infrastructure, advancing the government's goal of making India a major player in the world of artificial intelligence.
