Kepler Aerospace Raises $8 Million Seed Round Led by Blue Ashva Capital and Co-Led by Finvolve to Build the World’s First Autonomous Swarming Satellite Constellation for ISR
Kepler Aerospace, a Bengaluru-based space infrastructure and mission operations company, has raised $8 million in a seed round led by Blue Ashva Capital and co-led by Finvolve and India Accelerator, with participation from other investors. The round marks the company’s first external funding since its founding in 2018 and will support the development and deployment of its next-generation space-based persistent Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, while scaling its Mission Operations as a Service and Avionics as a Service businesses.
Founded in 2018, Kepler Aerospace is building an integrated space infrastructure stack spanning satellite systems, avionics, ground infrastructure, mission operations and intelligence delivery. The company is focused on enabling reliable, secure and scalable space missions across strategic, defence and commercial applications.
Kepler is addressing the growing need for persistent, low-latency intelligence from space. As modern warfare and national security increasingly become information-driven, the ability to continuously monitor strategic areas and convert space-based data into actionable intelligence is becoming critical. Kepler’s focus is to reduce intelligence latency from months to minutes through persistent ISR systems and integrated mission infrastructure.
The company has secured two IDEX (Innovation for Defence Excellence) prime contracts to provide swarming ISR constellations to India’s defence space ecosystem, supported by approximately $4 million in grants under the IDEX programme. A key use of the newly raised capital will be the launch of the first six swarming ISR satellites under the programme. The company will also use the funding to scale its Mission Operations as a Service and Avionics as a Service verticals.
Kepler’s Mission Operations as a Service platform already serves nearly all Indian space companies and operates as the primary mission operator for several ISRO satellites. Through its network of more than 70 ground stations, the company provides satellite communication, tracking, telemetry, command and mission operations capabilities for a growing range of space missions.
Kepler’s technology approach brings together multiple layers of the space mission stack, including satellite and avionics systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations and intelligence platforms. Its infrastructure is designed around automation, security, reliability and scalability, allowing the company to support increasingly complex missions and constellation-scale deployments.
The company’s technology and engineering heritage is rooted in India’s space ecosystem. Kepler’s team has experience across small satellites, aerospace systems, electronic warfare, and defence systems development and integration. Its technology portfolio includes satellite avionics and subsystems, while its broader platform is focused on enabling mission operations and space infrastructure at scale.
Kepler Aerospace was founded by Navneet Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Kiran V. Sharma, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer. The two founders first met at ISRO, bringing complementary experience across spacecraft systems and advanced space missions. Kiran was associated with a lunar nano-rover project at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, while Navneet worked as a founding member of the Indian nanosatellite programme at ISRO.

Over the next 12–24 months, Kepler will focus on deploying its first six swarming ISR satellites, expanding its Mission Operations as a Service and Avionics as a Service businesses and strengthening its engineering capabilities. The company is also moving into a new facility and plans to add 40 new members to its current team.
The fundraise comes as India’s private space ecosystem expands beyond launch vehicles and satellites into areas such as space-based intelligence, defence applications, satellite subsystems, ground infrastructure and mission operations. Kepler aims to build an integrated space infrastructure and intelligence platform capable of supporting mission-critical requirements across strategic and commercial applications.
