Ola Entering into Energy Sector

Power backup, solar storage, and portable energy requirements are all met by this versatile solution. Ola Electric's Bhavish Aggarwal previously stated that the company will construct the supply chain from scratch in addition to deploying batteries across India. Ola is hoping to get into the INR 1 lakh crore BESS market with this product. With the recent launch of Ola Shakti, Shakti Rack, and Mahashakti, Ola unveiled a BESS portfolio in celebration of Independence Day.

In contrast, the Ola Shakti Gen2 is a home battery system. Both an AC and DC version of Shakti Rack are available, with the former catering to more commercial and industrial needs. In the meanwhile, Mahashakti is available in rack configurations and is geared for energy storage at utility scales. All three products were introduced to the Indian market on August 15th. They are based on the country's own LFP cell technology and aim to serve domestic utility-scale, commercial, and residential customers.
