Oppex AI Raises ₹4.2 Crore in Pre-Seed Round From Info Edge Ventures to Build AI-Led Incident Management Platform
With AI accelerating software development and enabling leaner engineering teams, Oppex AI is tackling the bottleneck that follows: managing and resolving issues once software is live.
Oppex AI, an AI-native platform for production operations, today announced it has raised ₹4.2 crore in a pre-seed round from Info Edge Ventures. The company will use the funding to accelerate product development, expand its team and scale deployments with customers.
Founded by Prasun Kumar and Pranit, who each bring more than 20 years of experience building and scaling startups and enterprise search platforms, Oppex AI is building an agentic platform to transform incident management from human-led to AI-led.
As software delivery accelerates, production is increasingly becoming a bottleneck, with engineering teams spending a significant portion of their time managing and resolving incidents- issues that also directly affect customer experience and can erode trust. Oppex AI believes that as AI transforms the software development lifecycle, an equivalent AI system is needed for production, so operations do not become the bottleneck that keeps organisations from realising the full benefits of AI-driven software development.
In under eight months since writing its first line of code, Oppex AI has deployed its product across multiple enterprises, with users in India, the UK, the EU and the US- signalling strong early demand for AI-native incident management.
The founders’ experience building enterprise search platforms is directly relevant to Oppex AI’s approach: the ability to search, retrieve and reason across fragmented enterprise systems is critical to building the context layer that effective AI agents require.
“AI has fundamentally changed the economics and speed of software development. The next bottleneck is what happens after the code is shipped. Engineers are still spending significant amounts of time bringing together context from multiple systems, investigating incidents and coordinating response.
