Quick Home Services Startup Pync Winds Up Operations, Founders Move to Snabbit

Accel-backed startup Pync has ceased operations because to growing competition in the quick home services market. According to a statement from rival Snabbit, Pync's three cofounders—Harsh Prateek, Mayank Sahu, and Dev Priyam—have recently joined the company. All three co-founders have joined in at senior positions spanning operations and business activities.

Aayush Agarwal, the founder of Snabbit, expressed his excitement about welcoming Harsh, Mayank, and Dev to the company as they collaborate to create the category of the decade. Snabbit's journey will be greatly strengthened by their profound obsession with brand's domain and their experience operating a lean, tight ship. Why Pync Decided to Shut Operations?

The collapse of Pync coincides with fierce rivalry in the market, which is dominated by Pronto, which is supported by Info Edge, Snabbit, and listed consumer services company Urban Company. Because businesses are managing fast expansion, significant discounts, seasonal worker migration, and labour law compliance, monthly burn rates have skyrocketed.

Due to players prioritising market share over short-term profitability, margins have been squeezed across the board. The decision of Pync to cease operations points to a possible early indication of consolidation in the rapidly expanding market. Natural consolidation pressure is created by the quick home services segment's high fixed costs, low marginal delivery costs, and growth-at-all-costs mentality, which are characteristics of quick commerce economics.

Pync Closure Will Benefit Snabbit

Snabbit is anticipated to have an instant operational advantage in Bengaluru because to Pync's personnel. Last year, the startup went on a fundraising binge. In October, it bagged $30 Mn in its Series C round led by Bertelsmann India Investments. After raising more than $24 million in two prior investment rounds, it was its third in 2025.

Established in 2024 by former Zepto chief of staff Agarwal, Snabbit provides certified and qualified home help, including as cooks, cleaners, and dishwashers, in ten to fifteen minutes. Pronto, Snabbit's competitor, raised $13 million in 2025 and is reportedly in talks to raise an additional $25 million.

Pync’s Operations

When Pync was first established in 2023, company provided car-cleaning services. Last year, the business raised almost $2 million in seed money before changing its focus to rapid house services. With more than 1,000 service personnel, it catered to over 25,000 households in Bengaluru, its sole operating location. It was functioning independently and enrolling about 200 new service partners every week.
