Reliance to launch bottled iced tea with Brew House brand relaunch

Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) wants to enter the bottled iced tea industry this coming summer with the relaunch of “Brew House". According to data from the commerce ministry, the company was approved for the trademark on July 23, 2025, and it is anticipated that the brand would be revived in the next two months. In 2024, the brand was purchased by the oil-to-retail company for an unknown sum.

Reliance to Introduce Iced Tea in Two Flavours

The iced teas would be introduced in two flavours: lemon and peach, with a 200 ml bottle starting at INR 20. According to media sources, the product was initially planned to be launched for INR 10 for a 200 ml bottle. But now that the goods and services tax (GST) has been recast, the ready-to-drink market is subject to the higher rate of 40%. Therefore, the business chose to begin with INR 20 instead. A media house also received confirmation from several distributors that "Brew House" will debut in the upcoming two months. Apart from relaunching Brew House, RCPL is also contemplating introducing other niche-category drinks.

Reliance Building Up its Product Portfolio

According to media sources, RCPL is also developing a number of novel ideas, including ayurvedic drinks, kombucha, and prebiotic sodas. RCPL now has the focus and competence to establish a specialised route to market for these kinds of solutions. RCPL’s bigger objective is to be a full-scale fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm, spanning categories across home care, food, beverages, and snacks.  In August 2025, RCPL, the packaged consumer goods subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, acquired a majority stake in a joint venture with Naturedge Beverages Pvt. Ltd. It is a Mumbai-based company that is recognised for its herbal functional drink, Shunya.

Throughout India, Shunya provides herbal drinks with no added sugar or calories that are infused with super-herbs like ashwagandha, brahmi, khus, kokum, and green tea. Undoubtedly, the business has broadened the variety of beverages it offers in both the mass and value markets.  RCPL presently produces carbonated soft drinks under the Campa brand, packaged drinking water, sodas, mixers, and energy and sports beverages.

Apart from these, it also produces classic Indian refreshments such as nimbu pani, fruit beverages, and milkshakes. Additionally, RCPL can be found in packaged meals under labels like SIL, which sells essentials like noodles. Brew House (BH) was created in May 2017 by Siddhartha Jain under Positive Food Ventures Pvt. Ltd in Gurugram. BH was created as a premium ready-to-drink iced tea brand positioned as a healthy alternative to carbonated and sugar-heavy beverages. It differentiated itself with true, whole-leaf brewing, decreased sugar content and the absence of preservatives.
