“Today, we're launching the Sarvam Startup Program. AI is the era for builders. We want to compound that momentum by powering the startup ecosystem with high-quality models and tools so they can create with full agency,” the company wrote. It went on to say that the initiative would let entrepreneurs concentrate on making products instead of deploying AI on the backend by providing credits, priority support, and infrastructure that is ready for production.
Offerings of the Sarvam AI’s Initiative
Selected businesses will receive API credits ranging from six to twelve months, depending on their consumption requirements, according to the AI firm. Along with this, participants will have access to all of Sarvam's AI features, such as translation, chat completion, document intelligence APIs, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech. More than 22 Indian languages, in addition to English, are natively supported by the platform.
It exemplifies the company's commitment to developing AI systems that are compatible with the wide variety of languages spoken in India. As an added bonus, participating startups will have preferential access to Sarvam's engineering team, be considered for co-branded case studies, and have their product launches amplified after they go live. Startups can apply for the program through Sarvam's website right now.
Sarvam AI Launches Indus AI App
The Indian artificial intelligence business Sarvam has been in the news recently. Not only that, but the business has achieved remarkable strides in artificial intelligence, including the genesis of not one but two large language models (LLMs). It seems that Sarvam has now secretly launched Indus, their AI chat app, to app stores. Both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store presently have the Indus app accessible for download. Along with this, the Indus website is live and accessible online.
According to the app store description, this AI assistant was developed in India specifically for Indian users. The business claims that "every Indian language" would be an option for customers to communicate with the AI chatbot. This also encompasses the capability to transition between languages in the middle of a discussion, like switching from English to Hindi or Hindi to English. Indus, developed by Sarvam, will be able to take voice commands, much like Gemini and ChatGPT.
