The Urban Company is expanding its online shopping strategy to other countries. The household services company has broadened its partnership with Unicommerce to include the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as it expands its operations throughout the Middle East. The Uniware platform from Unicommerce will be utilised by Urban Company's Middle East division to oversee the management of inventory and fulfilment processes that contribute to its ecosystem of at-home services.

The technology will allow service personnel in both markets to see inventory levels in real-time and will assist in routing orders for service kits and consumables. The end goal is to streamline replenishment processes, increase inventory accuracy, and coordinate fulfilment across different sites.

A Win-Win Partnership for Both the Firms

Urban Company already has an established relationship with Unicommerce in India, where the latter powers its e-commerce platforms. This new cooperation will further strengthen that relationship. The corporation will have a shared operational foundation as it grows throughout the Middle East if the agreement is extended to that region. Continual supplies of products, tools, and consumables are essential to the operation of Urban Company's beauty and wellness, house cleaning, and appliance maintenance services.

The management of this supply chain will be centred around Uniware. Unicommerce has been actively growing its Middle Eastern footprint by partnering with local markets, shipping companies, ERP systems, and payment gateways. Invoice and shipping label production in Arabic, region-specific tax compliance, and interfaces with local commerce partners across the UAE and Saudi Arabia are some of its regional features.

According to Kapil Makhija, managing director and CEO of Unicommerce, the increased cooperation will allow Urban Company to streamline backend processes and scale its operations. According to Nitesh Agarwal, senior vice president of the Middle East at Urban Company, the region is a key growth market. Also, he stressed the need for operational efficiency in ensuring a consistent experience for customers.

Unicommerce Expanding its International Footprints

Another global limb has been added to Unicommerce's activities with this expansion. In the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and the MENA region, the firm provides its services to over 8,000 customers. Additionally, across all of its platforms, it has over 360 integrations with various technologies and partners. Among its offerings are the order, warehouse, and inventory management systems Uniware.

Further, it has the marketing automation platform Convertway and the logistics management and shipping automation platform Shipway. Improving customer service and ensuring timely delivery of the correct equipment to professionals are two of Urban Company's primary goals in their growth into the Middle East. It is anticipated that the new technological alliance would ensure the seamless operation of that operational engine as its regional presence develops.
