Valura.ai Expands to India, Signs Up 1,000 Wealth Advisors
On April 6, Valura.ai, a global investment platform that is AI-native, announced the enrolment of more than 1,000 wealth advisors in India in anticipation of its official launch. With an AUM pipeline of more than INR 3,000 crore expected to be completed within the next 12 to 18 months, the firm is making a splash in the Indian industry.
Client funds are kept in local custody within the IFSC at GIFT City under IFSCA regulation, instead of being routed through offshore brokers. The platform gives access to over one lakh worldwide securities. Chartered accountants, mutual fund distributors, registered investment advisors, and independent financial advisors are all part of the onboarded network.
The Right Time to Entre India: Valura.ai
With India's outbound investment increasing 67% to USD 41.6 billion in FY25, the pre-launch reaction indicates a high desire for a reliable global investing infrastructure. In addition, according to a release from Valura.ai, the rupee has lost more than 8% of its value versus the US dollar over the last 12 months.
According to Valura.ai CEO Priyesh Ranjan, the company integrates AI-powered research and portfolio building with streamlined execution, automated compliance, and local custody. As a regulated investment platform in the UAE, Valura.ai has been operating as a broker-dealer registered with the IFSCA.
Operations of Valura.ai
For high-net-worth individuals, non-resident Indians, and expats in the UAE, Valura.ai is the go-to platform for investing. Fifty engineers and finance experts from IIT formed the company, and they're doing it all on their own dime. Heading up the India operations is CEO Priyesh Ranjan, a graduate of IIT Delhi with a background in global finance spanning more than 20 years. Ranjan has held positions to boost responsibility, including chief financial officer of a Nasdaq-listed business and manager of a family office with assets of multiple billion dollars.
Launching in India, Valura.ai combines cutting-edge AI with infrastructure that complies with regulations in an effort to reimagine global investing opportunities for Indian investors. According to Rajesh Jha, co-founder of Jain Investments, there has long been a need from high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) for Shariah-compliant portfolios and global bonds, but these options have been severely constrained due to the absence of a suitable platform. Valura successfully fills the empty space.
