Wipro Raises Ownership in Aggne to 80% in Strategic $28.5 Million Investment
Wipro has increased its ownership of Aggne, a technology services and consulting company that provides services to the property and casualty (P&C) insurance sector, to 80% in exchange for $28.5 million in cash. Wipro will have an even greater edge in the insurance market after purchasing an additional share in Aggne.
Aggne, the fourth-largest IT services company in India, announced on 1 June that it is focusing on delivering transformations driven by artificial intelligence and intellectual property. After making an investment in 2024, Wipro had 60% of the company. IP-led consultancy, implementation, and managed services are all part of Aggne's service offerings. It also offers a complete set of low-code products hosted in the cloud, which P&C insurers may use to speed up product development and boost innovation.
Wipro Strongly Pushing for AI Infusion
Expanded cooperation with ServiceNow announced by Wipro last week. As a result of the collaboration, Wipro will be able to expand its use of agentic AI processes in strategic areas such as cybersecurity, procurement, human resources, and information technology. The partnership will integrate the ServiceNow AI Platform with Wipro IntelligenceTM, the company's range of AI-powered solutions, platforms, and products. Enterprises will be able to streamline job introduction, orchestration, and execution across platforms with the help of this alliance.
Wipro will accomplish all of this while increasing operational visibility and decreasing the need for manual coordination. Business turnaround times will be accelerated, and enterprise-wide responsibility and governance will be strengthened, the company claims, thanks to the integration. Several Wipro Intelligence solutions will take advantage of ServiceNow's AI Platform capabilities as a part of the expanded cooperation. Among these, SmartProcure stands out for its ability to standardise intake, approvals, and execution procedures, therefore streamlining procurement operations and improving cycle times.
