Following regulatory approvals, the $375 million purchase of HARMAN's Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit by IT services provider Wipro was finalised on 2 December, the firm announced. According to a statement from the Bengaluru-based IT company, the DTS acquisition was announced on August 21, 2025, and if the deal closes successfully, it will start functioning as part of Wipro's engineering global business line.

The press release further stated that Wipro's commitment to advancing AI capabilities, engineering innovation, and R&D excellence has reached a major milestone with the acquisition of DTS. It is important to remember that on August 21, Wipro announced that it had finalised a deal to pay up to $375 million (about INR 3,270 crore) in cash for a 100% share in the Digital. At the time, DTS had stated that more than 5,600 workers, including senior leadership, from the Americas, Europe, and Asia will transfer to Wipro as part of the arrangement.

According to a statement released on December 2nd confirming the acquisition's completion, DTS provides Wipro with expertise in embodied AI, embedded software, device engineering, and customer experience platforms in addition to product engineering and digital transformation services capabilities. According to Rao, Wipro is adapting its engineering DNA to satisfy the demands of a quickly changing technological landscape by incorporating DTS' extensive product engineering and technological know-how into our capabilities, as well as their complementary industry solution and market presence.
