Apple launches AppleCare+ for theft and loss in India for iPhone users

Apple has expanded its AppleCare+ insurance policies in India and added a new option that covers iPhone loss and theft. Indian customers are now getting such extensive protection directly from Apple for the first time. The company's provision of monthly and annual payment options has made the plans more affordable. AppleCare+ is the official name of Apple's protection package.

It goes above and beyond the standard one-year guarantee by offering assistance and repairs for accidental damage. Up until now, Indian customers could only purchase ordinary AppleCare+ subscriptions, which covered things like unintended damage and battery repair. Apple is offering more customisation options with the most recent update, like a monthly subscription for customers who choose not to pay the full amount at once.

AppleCare+ With a Monthly Subscription of INR 799

The most significant change is the introduction of AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone, a plan that starts at INR 799 per month and covers up to two theft or loss occurrences per year. If a user's iPhone is lost or stolen, Apple will replace it. Since most Indian customers relied on third-party insurance for this type of protection, this is a big boost.

With the exception of theft and loss, the plan covers everything covered by regular AppleCare+. This offers limitless accidental damage repairs using authentic Apple components, priority customer support at all times, and battery replacement when the battery's condition drops below a certain level. Since the repairs and replacements are carried out at authorised Apple Authorised Care Providers or Apple Stores, the device is assured to receive genuine parts and expert care.

User Friendly Subscription Plans

Users can now buy and manage these subscriptions with extreme ease thanks to Apple. Users can examine all plan options, confirm their eligibility, and buy a subscription from the Settings app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Coverage begins as soon as the plan is purchased.

With these changes, Apple is now catching up to other regions where monthly AppleCare+ premiums and theft and loss insurance have been available for years. Customers who want long-term security for their expensive Apple devices now have more options, flexibility, and peace of mind thanks to this update. To find out more about the options or register for a plan, customers can visit Apple's India website or launch the Settings app on their iPhone.
