Founded in 2018 by Nirupesh Joshi and Mercy Amalraj, Bangalore Watch Company makes mechanical watches in India and exports them to over 30 countries. Its collections draw on themes such as aviation, space and cricket, with prices from INR 1.5 lakh to INR 3 lakh. The company makes about 1,500 watches a year.
Unveilr AI Raises Pre-Seed Round From AJVC at INR 16.7 Crore Valuation
Unveilr AI raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed round from AJVC, the fund led by Aviral Bhatnagar, at a valuation of INR 16.7 crore. The money will fund hiring, more AI agents and customer growth in India, the UAE and the US.
Founded in February 2026 by Sanditya Srivastava, Mumbai-based Unveilr AI helps brands appear in Google and AI tools such as ChatGPT. It combines its own AI agents with search specialists to bring in leads for business and consumer brands.
Gharbar Raises Pre-Seed Round Backed by Startup India Seed Fund Scheme
Gharbar raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed round backed by the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme, AlloyX Ventures and angel investors. SBI also joined as a debt partner. The startup is expanding from North Delhi to the wider Delhi-NCR region.
Founded in 2023 by Rahul Chandra and Shashi Chandra, Gharbar rents furniture and home appliances to students, with delivery, setup and maintenance included. It began with four products, such as beds and water purifiers, and now offers 15. The company has served more than 1,500 students.

Moneyview Shares Debut at 61.8% Premium on NSE
Moneyview shares opened at INR 55 on the NSE on 1 October, 61.8% above the IPO price of INR 34. On the BSE, the stock opened at INR 55.61, a premium of 63.6%.
The INR 1,092 crore IPO was subscribed 98.46 times, led by institutional buyers at 227.45 times. The digital lender reported FY26 revenue of INR 3,351 crore and a profit of INR 242 crore. Its loan disbursals rose 31% to INR 23,099 crore.
Traders Call Off 'No UPI Day' Protest After Meeting Finance Minister
Traders' bodies, including the All India Mobile Retailers Association, have called off their 'No UPI Day' protest planned for 2 October. The decision followed a meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who assured them their concerns would be considered seriously.
The traders oppose a 0.4% merchant fee on UPI payments above INR 2,000, capped at INR 300, which starts on 15 October. They want it delayed until after the festive season and the INR 1 lakh monthly exemption raised to INR 5 lakh. Separately, UPI volumes fell 1.8% to 24.07 billion transactions in September.

SBI Mutual Fund has raised its stake in Swiggy to 5.12% after buying 1.18 crore shares worth about INR 300 crore on 29 September. Its holding was 4.70% before the purchase.
Crossing 5% required SBI Mutual Fund to disclose the deal, which it did to Swiggy and the stock exchanges on 30 September. The purchase follows shareholder approval in August for a 49.5% cap on foreign ownership, which supports Swiggy's move to Indian control. Swiggy's shares traded at about INR 247, valuing the company at around INR 68,125 crore.
Jio Financial Services and Allianz Invest INR 640 Crore in Insurance Venture
Jio Financial Services and Allianz Europe have together invested INR 640.1 crore in their general insurance joint venture, Jio Allianz General Insurance. Each partner put in INR 320.05 crore through a rights issue.
The 50:50 venture was launched on 12 May 2026 to offer general and health insurance to individuals and businesses in India. The new money will fund its business operations. Jio Financial Services has invested INR 375 crore in the venture so far.
