Lawyered Raises $2.5 Mn in Pre-Series A Round

Legal tech startup Lawyered has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Turbostart, with participation from existing investor Finvolve. The fresh capital will be deployed towards scaling technology infrastructure, strengthening product offerings, and accelerating user acquisition, with a focus on expanding AI-led capabilities.

Launched in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered is an AI-driven on-road legal assistance platform specialising in "LOTS247" (roadside legal aid) and "ChallanPay" (traffic fine resolution), serving vehicle owners, drivers, and logistics businesses. The platform asserts that it covers over 2 million vehicles, works with more than 800 businesses, and has resolved over 200,000 legal matters, helping users avoid more than $6 million in penalties and downtime. Lawyered plans to extend beyond mobility into sectors such as finance, real estate, healthcare, and e-commerce.

NudgeBee Raises $3 Mn in Seed Round Led by Kalaari Capital

AI platform focused on cloud operations, NudgeBee, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from technology founders. The funds will be used to strengthen its AI platform, expand its enterprise context layer, and build a partnership-led distribution model alongside direct enterprise sales.

Founded in 2024 by Rakesh Rajendran and Shiv Pratap Singh, NudgeBee develops AI agents for cloud operations teams to automate workflows, reduce manual work, and improve incident resolution. Its platform offers AI agents for SRE, CloudOps, and FinOps functions, covering troubleshooting, cloud cost optimisation, and workflow automation, using a semantic knowledge graph and enterprise context layer that connects telemetry, infrastructure topology, and historical patterns.

Acai Theory Raises ₹4 Cr in Pre-Seed Round

Health-focused quick service restaurant (QSR) brand, Acai Theory, has raised ₹4 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by All In Capital, with participation from TDV Partners and angel investors including ex-COO of Zomato Food Delivery Rinshul Chandra and Fragaria CEO Harish Varadarajan, among others.

Co-founded in 2025 by Rishav Ranjan and Akash Kyal, Acai Theory is a health-first açaí QSR brand operating on a QSR-first, assembly-only model with no live cooking. The Bengaluru-based startup claims to have served over 10,000 bowls since its launch in October 2025. The proceeds will be used towards expansion, team building, and brand visibility, as well as strengthening the supply chain and R&D. The company plans to scale to 8-10 stores across Bengaluru and set up a central kitchen.

Digital Paani Receives Investment from AWE Funds

AWE Funds, an early-growth venture equity platform focused on deeptech and technology-led innovations in climate, health, and the future of work, has invested an undisclosed amount in Digital Paani, a water-tech platform that integrates digital intelligence with existing water and wastewater infrastructure. The investment will be used to strengthen Digital Paani's technology stack, enhance real-time monitoring and predictive capabilities, and support expansion across utilities, municipalities, and enterprise clients.

Raise Financial Acquires Algo-Trading Platform Stratzy

Fintech unicorn Raise Financial Services has acquired algo-trading platform Stratzy in a cash-and-stock deal for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is in line with Raise's plans to expand in the capital markets ecosystem and will allow it to introduce a managed and curated algo investing layer for Dhan users.

Founded in 2021 by Gaurav Sangle and Mohit Bhandari, Stratzy offers over 100 exchange-approved multi-asset algorithmic trading strategies across equities, indices, futures and options, and commodities. Post-acquisition, Stratzy's leadership and team will continue to operate independently while focusing on platform scaling, expanding algorithmic strategies, and strengthening execution infrastructure. Raise, which became a unicorn in October 2025 after raising $120 million in its Series B round, also owns and operates Dhan, DhanHQ, Upsurge, ScanX, and FuzzAI.

Pocket FM Elevates Founding Member Lalit Gangwar as COO

Pocket FM has elevated Lalit Gangwar to chief operating officer, where he will oversee its global audio business, managing markets, growth, monetisation, and execution. A founding member of the company, Gangwar built its India growth playbook, scaling the platform to 150 million users in its first year, and later led its US expansion, setting up teams and driving growth.

Pocket FM, which claims over 250 million listeners globally, has been expanding its content formats and investing in AI-driven storytelling. The company operates a large creator ecosystem with over 300,000 writers and more than 100,000 audio series on its platform. It recorded a 68% increase in revenue to ₹1,768 crore in FY25 and recently claimed to have crossed an ARR of ₹4,167 crore with EBITDA profitability.

Groww Grants Fresh ESOPs Worth ₹51 Cr After Strong Q4 Results

Fintech giant Groww has rolled out fresh employee stock options worth nearly ₹51.32 crore, covering 24.32 lakh equity shares under its ESOP 2024 scheme on April 20, shortly after the announcement of its Q4 FY26 results. The company approved the grant of 24,32,697 stock options to eligible employees, each convertible into one fully paid-up equity share with a face value of ₹2.

Most of the options, 22,68,569, were issued at an exercise price of ₹2 per share, while 1,64,128 options carry an exercise price of ₹173.65. Employees can exercise these options within 10 years from the date they vest. The ESOP grant follows Groww's strong Q4 FY26 performance, in which the company more than doubled its profit to ₹686 crore while revenue surged 88% year-on-year to cross ₹1,500 crore. Groww has also crossed ₹3 lakh crore in customer assets and plans to deploy earnings into scaling its lending operations.
