Ather Energy Raises ₹1,300 Crore Via QIP

Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker, has raised about ₹1,300 crore (~$151 million) through a qualified institutional placement.

The company allotted 1.08 crore equity shares at ₹1,202 apiece, about 2.8% above the ₹1,169.70 floor price. HDFC Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority each took more than 5% of the issue.

The QIP is part of a wider plan to raise up to ₹2,500 crore, with proceeds going towards repaying borrowings, R&D and marketing. The remaining ₹1,200 crore is proposed through a preferential issue, in which Hero MotoCorp will invest about ₹960 crore via convertible warrants.

SolarSquare Raises $53 Million Series C, MS Dhoni Joins as Investor

SolarSquare, a residential rooftop solar startup founded by Shreya Mishra and Nikhil Nahar, has confirmed a $53 million (~₹455 crore) Series C round. The company says it has installed rooftop solar systems in more than 50,000 homes across 29 cities.

The round was led by Lightspeed, with participation from Lowercarbon Capital, NGP Capital, Elevation Capital and existing investors. Former India captain MS Dhoni has invested through his family office, Midas Deals in SolarSquare, and will join as brand ambassador.

The company plans to expand into 30 to 40 new cities, strengthen its technology platform, widen financing options and invest in customer service infrastructure.

30 Sundays Raises $6.7 Million Led by Bessemer

Gurugram-based travel tech startup 30 Sundays, founded in 2024 by Kshitij Chaudhary and Anuj Punjani, offers customised romantic and honeymoon travel packages using generative AI for itinerary planning and bookings.

30 Sundays has raised $6.7 million (~₹58 crore) in a round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius. It had previously raised $770K.

The funds will go towards product, technology and AI capabilities, team growth, and expansion into new geographies. The company says it has reached an annualised gross booking value run rate of around ₹200 crore across Bali, Vietnam, the Maldives and Thailand.

Suminter India Organics Raises ₹25 Crore Debt From BlackSoil Capital

Suminter India Organics, led by Sameer Mehra, is an organic and sustainable food ingredients company. It runs a farm-to-market platform supplying spices, coconut products, oilseeds, cocoa, sweeteners and natural fibres to brands in the US, Europe and other markets.

Suminter India Organics has raised ₹25 crore (~$2.6 million) in debt funding from BlackSoil Capital.

The funds will help it source organic ingredients at scale and deepen engagement with its network of over 100,000 smallholder farmers across India, the Philippines and Africa.

FireAI Raises ₹2.5 Crore From SucSEED Indovation Fund

Mumbai-based FireAI, founded in 2024 by Vipul Prakash, is a causal decision intelligence platform that helps enterprises move from descriptive dashboards to real-time, explainable insights. Its clients include IRCTC, Plum, Government e-Marketplace and Noise.

FireAI has raised ₹2.5 crore from SucSEED Indovation Fund. It had earlier raised ₹6.2 crore (around $800K) from investors including Inflection Point Ventures and Venture Catalysts.

The fresh capital will fund an expanded enterprise sales team, regional expansion, R&D and administrative costs. FireAI reported 82% quarter-on-quarter growth in realised revenue over recent quarters.

Khageshvara Aviation Technology Raises Undisclosed Pre-Seed Funding

Khageshvara Aviation Technology (K.A.T), founded in 2023, is a deeptech startup building electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) cargo aircraft for defence, emergency response and remote logistics. Its roadmap spans platforms with payload capacities from 5 kg to 400 kg.

Finvolve and India Accelerator have made an undisclosed investment as part of K.A.T's ongoing pre-seed round, with co-investors including Rukam Capital, ACIC-VGU and MIETY.

The capital will go towards completing product development, field testing, building an interim deployable cargo platform and advancing certification milestones. The company says its K-VAAYU platform has completed TRL-5 field trials.

Zaggle to Acquire Up to 20% Stake in Unobanc for Cross-Border Push

Fintech SaaS company Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services plans to invest up to ₹7.97 crore in Unobanc for up to a 19.9% stake, strengthening its cross-border payments, forex and remittances business. Unobanc, a subsidiary of Hop Financial Solutions, holds a full-fledged money changer licence and has RBI in-principle approval for an authorised dealer Category-II licence. The deal is expected to close within 90 days. Zaggle reported a 30.4% rise in Q4 FY26 net profit to ₹40.6 crore.

BlueStone Shares Jump 20% on Third Straight Profitable Quarter

Omnichannel jewellery retailer BlueStone rallied as much as 20% intraday to ₹729 on the BSE after posting a ₹6 crore net profit in Q1 FY27, against a ₹34.7 crore loss a year ago. Operating revenue grew 50% year-on-year to ₹736.8 crore, with 39% same-store sales growth. The Accel-backed company added 12 stores in the quarter, taking its count to 352 across 139 cities, and plans to reach 706 outlets by FY30. Its market capitalisation stood at about ₹10,972 crore (~$1.1 billion).

Transition VC Floats ₹1,500 Crore Fund for Deeptech Startups

Bengaluru-based Transition VC has launched its second fund with a target corpus of ₹1,500 crore (over $155 million) to back engineering-led startups in energy transition, advanced manufacturing and industrial deeptech. The firm plans to invest $2 million to $5 million each in over 20 startups over four years, with deployments starting in Q3 FY27. Its first fund closed at ₹723 crore, beating a ₹400 crore target, and it claims a 57% internal rate of return.
