Fixxly Raises $5.5 Million Seed Round

Bengaluru-based Fixxly is building an AI-powered quick commerce platform for building materials. It lets contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, interior designers and homeowners order plywood, paint, electricals, lighting, hardware and plumbing supplies, with deliveries in as little as 30 minutes.

The startup raised $5.5 million (~₹47 crore) in a seed round from Accel, Fireside Ventures and Lightspeed India Partners. Fixxly was founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma.

The capital will strengthen its technology platform and scale operations ahead of a commercial launch on 1 September, starting in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities. It fulfils orders through a network of local dark stores that match real-time inventory, proximity and demand. Bhojani earlier co-founded DesignCafe, while Varma led supply chain design at Zepto and last-mile operations at Flipkart.

Revspot Raises $4.8 Million Series A

Bengaluru-based Revspot runs an AI-native platform that automates lead generation and qualification for businesses. It combines consumer intelligence, campaign analytics, lead enrichment, Voice AI, WhatsApp engagement and sales handoff.

The startup raised $4.8 million (~₹41 crore) in a Series A round co-led by Inflexor Ventures and Info Edge Ventures. Pentathlon Ventures, Silicon Road Ventures and existing investor Titan Capital also participated. Revspot had raised $1.4 million in a 2024 seed round.

The fresh capital will strengthen its product and engineering teams, expand the buyer intelligence platform, enter new high-ticket B2C sectors and grow in select international markets. Founded in 2024 by Darshan Subash, Chirag Wadhera and Varun Garg, Revspot serves more than 50 customers across real estate, education, automotive and wealth management.

Hegdinvst Raises $1.3 Million Series A

Chennai-based Hegdinvst is an alternative investment manager serving family offices, UHNIs and HNIs across private and public markets. Its existing Category II AIF, Hegd Growth Equity Fund I, invests across private equity, PIPE transactions and listed micro- and small-cap opportunities.

Hegdinvst raised $1.3 million (₹11.5 crore) in an oversubscribed Series A round, exceeding its $1.1 million (₹10 crore) target. It was backed by a select group of domestic and international HNIs.

Of the total, ₹10 crore will go towards the mandatory sponsor commitment for Hegdinvst's proposed SEBI Category III AIF, a multi-asset hedge fund. The commitment complements founder and managing partner Aditya Bhandari's personal investments across both funds.

Uber Challenges Karnataka Gig Workers Law In High Court

Uber has moved the Karnataka High Court challenging the constitutional validity of the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2025. The court issued notices to the Centre, the state and the welfare board, seeking responses by 24 August, and extended interim protection from coercive action already granted to Eternal, Swiggy, Zepto, Urban Company and others. Uber argues the law creates a second social security regime overlapping the Centre's Code on Social Security, 2020, while adding compliance costs. The case could decide whether states can run separate gig worker welfare regimes.
