Yaanendriya Raises ₹15 Crore Seed Funding

Yaanendriya is a Bengaluru-based deep tech company building indigenous sensor, navigation and control technologies for mobile robots and critical applications. Its portfolio includes the SynCore series of navigation controllers for autonomous robotic platforms and the YDX series of high precision inertial sensors.

The company has raised ₹15 crore (~$1.8 million) in a seed round led by Piper Serica. Yaanendriya was co-founded in February last year by Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Vyshak Y, Vijay HP and Aravind Thumbur.

The funds will be used to strengthen research and development, accelerate product development, and expand its portfolio of high precision navigation systems. Its SynCore controllers are deployed across aerial, ground and underwater applications in defence, surveillance and agriculture.

House of Student Raises $2 Million Seed Round

House of Student is a Gurugram and US-based student living technology company. It operates a platform for student accommodation across global education destinations, offering online booking and housing network management.

The startup has raised $2 million (~₹17 crore) in a seed round through a mix of equity and debt. The round was co-led by Saltwater Sutra and Nirmitsu Inspirational Ventures, with participation from angels including Gautam Verlekar and existing investor Unilodgers.

The capital will fund product innovation, expand housing supply, strengthen AI capabilities and support global expansion. Founded in February last year by Vaibhav Verma, the company says it lists over 2.5 million verified student rooms across more than 25 countries.

Walbha Industries Raises ₹10 Crore from Recykal

Walbha Industries is a biomass briquette and pellet manufacturer operating a production plant in Jhansi. It supplies industrial fuel to customers across North and Central India.

The company has received a strategic investment of ₹10 crore (~$1.2 million) from circular economy firm Recykal. The deal marks Recykal's entry into the bioenergy value chain.

The partnership will connect Walbha's biomass output with Recykal's network of more than 620 brands and manufacturers, and support Walbha's expansion into South India. Walbha will also gain access to Recykal's technology platform to digitise its supply chain.

Snitch Acquires Women's Fashion Brand Berrylush

Menswear D2C brand Snitch has acquired a 100% stake in women's fashion brand Berrylush, marking its entry into women's apparel. Financial terms were not disclosed. Berrylush, founded in 2018 by Anusha Chandrashekar and Alok Paul, will retain its identity and team. Snitch founder Siddharth Dungarwal said the ambition is to build Berrylush into a ₹1,000 crore women's fashion brand.

Swiggy Instamart Names Ex-Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha As Chief

Quick commerce major Swiggy Instamart has appointed former Myntra CEO Nandita Sinha as its new chief executive, effective 3 August. She succeeds Amitesh Jha, who joined in 2024 and announced his resignation. The move comes amid a broader leadership reshuffle, with COO Ankit Jain and CBO Hari Kumar also departing recently. Instamart's adjusted EBITDA loss widened to ₹840 crore in Q4 FY26.

Nykaa Hires Ex-Instamart COO Ankit Jain For Quick Commerce Push

Beauty and personal care major Nykaa has hired former Swiggy Instamart COO Ankit Jain to lead its quick commerce business, Nykaa Now. Jain joins as business head for Nykaa Now and executive vice president for supply chain at Nykaa Beauty. The hire comes as Nykaa plans to market Nykaa Now more aggressively in FY27. The service had 75-80 dark stores covering nearly 90% of pincodes across the top seven metros.

Pine Labs Q1 FY27 Profit Jumps 4X To ₹19.6 Crore

Fintech major Pine Labs reported a net profit of ₹19.6 crore in Q1 FY27, up more than 4X from ₹4.8 crore a year earlier. Operating revenue rose 20% year-on-year to ₹736.9 crore. Sequentially, however, profit declined from ₹59.4 crore in Q4 FY26, while total expenses climbed about 11% to ₹728.1 crore. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹765.9 crore, including other income.

ICICI Prudential MF Raises Shadowfax Stake To 8.56%

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund has increased its stake in listed logistics firm Shadowfax to 8.56% after acquiring a net 89.44 lakh shares on 24 July, a purchase valued at about ₹192 crore. The transaction came as Flipkart and Eight Roads Ventures offloaded stakes worth ₹690 crore and ₹964 crore, respectively, through bulk deals. Shadowfax, which listed in January, has a market capitalisation of ₹12,165 crore and turned profitable in Q4 FY26.
