Omega Seiki Mobility Raises ₹50 Crore

Founded in 2018 by Uday Narang, Delhi-based Omega Seiki Mobility is an electric vehicle manufacturer under the Anglian Omega Group. It builds commercial electric three-wheelers, two-wheelers and light trucks for last-mile logistics, with facilities in Faridabad and Pune.

The company raised ₹50 crore (~$6 million) from Securocorp Securities, Sangeeta Pareekh, Saket Aggarwal Family Office and Vanshika Sharma. It reported around ₹333 crore in revenue in FY26, with ₹7.3 crore in profit after tax and a 7.7% EBITDA margin. Its customers include Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato and Maersk.

The proceeds will expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen R&D and grow its dealer and service network. Omega Seiki plans to widen its footprint across cargo three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, premium electric two-wheelers and light commercial vehicles.

IPO-bound PhonePe reported a net loss of ₹2,792 crore in FY26, up 62% from ₹1,727.4 crore a year earlier. Operating revenue rose 11.5% to ₹7,920.5 crore, but total expenses climbed 16% to ₹10,588.5 crore. The bottom line was hit by ₹2,390.5 crore in ESOP costs, a ₹684.7 crore goodwill impairment on Indus Appstore and a ₹364.7 crore loss from the discontinued Pincode operations.

Bombay High Court Lets Nitin Gadkari Sue Meta, Google and X Over Deepfakes

The Bombay High Court has allowed Union minister Nitin Gadkari to institute a civil suit against Meta, Google, X and others over alleged AI-generated deepfakes. The disputed videos and posts falsely link him to the Centre's E20 fuel programme and claim his family benefited from it. The suit also names MeitY, the Department of Telecommunications and unidentified creators as John Doe defendants. It could become a key legal test of platform liability and personality rights in India.

Visage Lines Personal Care, which operates Bombay Shaving Company, Bombae and 100Days.co, narrowed its consolidated net loss 97.4% to ₹9 crore in FY26. Operating revenue jumped 139% to ₹634.7 crore, driven by omnichannel expansion and a broader product portfolio. The company recorded an adjusted EBITDA profit of ₹2.2 crore, against a ₹38.3 crore loss in FY25. It is targeting ₹1,000 crore in total revenue in FY27 ahead of a potential IPO.

Nandan Nilekani to Lead PM Modi's Exam Reforms Task Force

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constituted a high-powered task force headed by Infosys cofounder Nandan Nilekani to recommend technology-led reforms for public examinations. The move follows weeks of protests over alleged NEET irregularities and paper leaks. The panel includes former ISRO chairman S Somanath, former IB director Tapan Deka and IIT Madras director V Kamakoti. Nilekani, an architect of Aadhaar, will focus on strengthening the credibility of exams conducted by the National Testing Agency.
