Arboreal Bioinnovations Raises ₹230 Crore in Series A
Arboreal Bioinnovations is a Lucknow-based specialty food and nutraceutical ingredients startup founded in 2018 by Swati Pandey and Manish Chauhan. It develops proprietary functional ingredients — proteins, cocoa-based ingredients, natural zero-calorie sweeteners and functional fibres — for food, beverage and nutraceutical brands, and claims to supply more than 1,100 consumer brands.
The company has raised ₹230 Crore (~$24 million) in a Series A round co-led by EAAA Alternatives and Omnivore, with participation from existing backer Rainmatter by Zerodha.
The fresh capital will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen R&D, and accelerate the commercialisation of its next-generation functional ingredients. Arboreal says its products have powered over 300 brand launches in the past 18 months.

Consumer appliances startup Atomberg Technologies has converted from a private to a public limited company, with shareholders approving a name change to Atomberg Technologies Limited via a special resolution filed with the MCA. The company plans to raise ₹1,500–2,000 Crore (~$165–220 million) through its IPO later this year, comprising a fresh issue of shares (25–35% of the offer) alongside an offer for sale by existing investors. Funds will be directed towards capital expenditure, debt repayment, and marketing. Founded in 2012 by IIT Bombay alumni Manoj Meena and Sibabrata Das, Atomberg has raised about $126.5 million to date from investors including Temasek Holdings, Steadview Capital, and Jungle Ventures.
Shadowfax Q1 FY27 Profit Jumps 8X to ₹65 Crore, Revenue Crosses ₹1,300 Crore
Logistics company Shadowfax posted a consolidated net profit of ₹65.4 Crore in Q1 FY27, an 8X jump from ₹8 Crore in Q1 FY26 and an all-time high for the company. Operating revenue rose 65% year-on-year to ₹1,358.1 Crore, with its express segment alone generating ₹997 Crore. EBITDA surged over 3X to ₹92 Crore at a margin of 6.8%. The company delivered 24.7 Crore customer orders during the quarter and tripled its dark store count to 47, signalling continued investment in quick commerce.
Urban Company Posts ₹92 Crore Loss in Q1 FY27 Despite 44% Revenue Jump
Home services platform Urban Company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹92.1 Crore in Q1 FY27, swinging from a profit of ₹6.9 Crore in the same quarter last year. Operating revenue grew 43.9% year-on-year to ₹528.3 Crore, but total expenses surged 66.5% to ₹639.9 Crore as the company invested heavily in its instant home services vertical InstaHelp. InstaHelp's adjusted EBITDA loss ballooned to ₹132 Crore from ₹13 Crore in Q4 FY26, with InstaHelp revenue of ₹11 Crore for the quarter. The company said it is prioritising market leadership over profitability in this phase.
Groww Co-founders Plan ₹400–500 Crore Second Fund Under Stargazer AIF
The four cofounders of discount brokerage Groww, Lalit Keshre, Ishan Bansal, Harsh Jain, and Neeraj Singh, are planning a second fund with a target corpus of ₹400–500 Crore to invest in seed and early-stage consumer internet and deeptech startups, with a growing focus on AI. The fund will operate under Stargazer, a CAT II AIF the cofounders launched in 2023, and will be funded entirely through personal capital with no external limited partners. Maximum ticket size is expected to go up to $10 million (~₹95 Crore), well above the ₹5 Crore cap in their first fund of ₹65 Crore.
