Hindustan Power Announces INR 1,135 Crore Financial Close for UP Solar Project
Hindustan Power has achieved financial closure for its 435 MWp/300 MW solar power project in Lalitpur district of UP with IREDA sanctioning INR 1,135 crore in loan financing. The project has signed a long-term PPA with UPPCL and is projected to contribute to the renewable energy capacity of UP.
On August 20, Hindustan Power stated that their 300 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh had reached financial closing, with a total of INR 1,135 crore. The project is moving along according to the projected timeline and will contribute to the increasing renewable energy capacity in Uttar Pradesh, according to Hindustan Power.
According to the release, Hindustan Power's 435 MWp/300 MW solar power project in Uttar Pradesh's Lalitpur area has reached financial close thanks to the INR 1,135 crore in debt that the IREDA approved. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) is the client of the project's long-term power purchase agreement (PPA). In addition, Hindustan Power won the project in 2025 after competing for it.

Inox Clean Energy Closes Vena Energy India Acquisition
The acquisition of Vena Energy India Holdings Pte Ltd, a renewable energy platform in India owned by GIP and backed by BlackRock, was finalised on August 18th by Inox Clean Energy. The total transaction value for the acquisition deals is around INR 6,000 crore. According to a corporate release, the contract was closed in just two months despite comprising several stakeholders and financing partners.
This makes it one of the quickest signing-to-execution deals in the renewable energy market. Internal equity and refinancing have secured the entire transaction value. Consequently, showcasing Inox Clean's robust funding capacities and capacity to swiftly complete intricate agreements.
A total of 2.7 GW of solar and wind power and 1.3 GWh of BESS projects are in various phases of development at Vena Energy India's renewable venture. The company's portfolio includes around 1 GW of operational capacity, 1.7 GW of solar and wind power, and 1.2 GWh of BESS assets at advanced stages. Once finished, Inox Clean's portfolio of operational and near-operational projects is anticipated to surpass 4 GW.
