Ola Electric is building its first dealer-led stores across seven states as it transitions away from its own stores to company-led outlets. The EV producer is planning to have 500 dealerships around the country in two quarters to boost local sales and service.

Ola Electric is expanding its retail network with additional wheels. As part of its transition to a partner-led retail model, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer has launched a network of dealer-operated stores in seven states. These states include Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Bihar, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The goal of the new stores is to increase sales of Ola scooters and motorbikes in the local area.

Consequently, catering to local needs through improved sales and consumer access. After spending its first five years running an entirely company-owned retail and service network, the launch signifies a significant shift for the business. The sales and service network of Ola Electric was initially made available to dealer partners on August 6th. The initial partner outlets have been operational for less than 30 days.

Why Ola Shifting to Partner Network?

With this change, Ola hopes to expand its presence in local markets while empowering its dealer partners to better serve customers in their respective regions. The company's current retail locations will soon become brand product experience centres. By the end of the following two quarters, Ola Electric hopes to have 500 dealerships across the country. So, as it promotes its electric two-wheelers in additional markets, it is considerably increasing its physical presence.

The business boasts that more than 10 lakh riders were brought on board by its company-owned model, which also helped to establish the brand and raise awareness about electric vehicles. Now that the groundwork has been laid, it is placing its bets on dealers to carry out the next phase of its expansion. Ola Electric's Chief Business Officer Manoj Murali stated that the partner network will assist in expanding the company's product ecosystem throughout India. The S1Z line, which begins at INR 79,999, is part of the company's mission to increase access to electric mobility.

Ola Electric Secures INR 95.8 Crore PLI Incentive

An announcement on the exchange said that the Ministry of Heavy Industries had sanctioned Ola Electric Mobility for an incentive of INR 95.81 crore under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for vehicles and auto parts.

The payment can be distributed through IFCI Ltd., the nodal agency responsible for disbursements, and the incentive is related to the scheme's FY27 demand incentive component. Ola Electric was previously granted INR 367 crore in FY25 and INR 73.74 crore in FY24 through the scheme.

Ola Electric Mobility, headquartered in Bengaluru, India, had a turbulent June quarter, reporting a reduced net loss year over year despite a precipitous decline in revenue. Vehicle registrations for the electric two-wheeler manufacturer also increased at a rapid rate during the quarter. In the first quarter of fiscal year 27, the business lost INR 336 crore, down from INR 426 crore in the same period last year. Having said that, revenue fell from INR 828 crore to INR 455 crore, a 45% year-on-year reduction.
