ZeroMobIt raises INR 1.5 Crore pre-seed funding to accelerate AI-native tech development & operational expansion
ZeroMobIt, a Hyderabad-based student mobility startup, today announced it has raised INR 1.5 Crore in a pre-seed funding round, led by prominent angel investors like Sandeep Varaganti (CEO, JioMart), Dr. Ashok Agrawal (SVP, Axis Bank), and HNIs. The funding will enable the startup to accelerate its AI-native technology development, operational expansion and infrastructure roadmap, advancing the firm in its long-term infrastructure vision.
Built around fixed-schedule mobility, it is designed to monetise predictable, recurring demand today while remaining structurally ready to evolve into a fully passenger- agnostic mobility platform over time, reflecting a financially resilient, high-leverage business model.
The newly raised capital will help the firm to bolster its core architecture and orchestration systems for compliant and scalable student mobility by developing an AI-native platform. Additionally, the firm will use the funds to build decentralised intelligence layers with Edge AI to enhance real-time safety, route optimisation, and operational resilience. ZeroMobIt will also aim to accelerate campus partnerships, fleet expansion, and compliance infrastructure across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Chennai, and Mumbai, signalling operational expansion for long-term growth. The company will also look to increase its core team strength, hiring across engineering, operations and growth to support scalability.
Mr. Vijay Ganagam, CEO and Co-Founder of ZeroMobIt, shared his inputs following the funding round, saying, “Student mobility has remained structurally unchanged for decades. We are building an AI-native, compliance-first infrastructure layer that aligns safety, scalability, and ecosystem trust. This funding allows us to accelerate toward building infrastructure that cities and institutions can rely on.”
Mr. Alfred Lazarus, Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) and Co-Founder of ZeroMobIt, stressed the future of mobility infrastructure, saying, “The future of mobility infrastructure will not just be digital — it will be intelligent, decentralized, orchestrated and interoperable. We are on the precipice of Data Sovereign Trust Tech Ecosystems”
Founded in April 2024, ZeroMobIt has so far partnered with 15+ institutions and has established itself as a compliance-first student mobility model. The firm has so far completed 3.4 lakh student trips across 147 pincodes in Hyderabad, and is currently in the onboarding phase of several institutions in the city. With a 3,000+ fleet supply with 100% compliance, ZeroMobIt’s integrated app ecosystem combines mobility logistics, safety, discovery, tracking and subscription features. ZeroMobIt recently emerged as the winner of IIT Kanpur’s flagship pitching event, UpStart 2025, competing against 220+ startups across India and South Korea, adding to its grassroots credibility.
The firm is working towards evolving into a foundational AI-native student infrastructure layer from a mobility service. It is also working towards expanding to major educational hubs across India, AI-driven route optimization and compliance automation, deployment of Edge AI for enhanced safety and decentralized monitoring and development toward interoperable Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for student life. In its long-term vision, ZeroMobIt is working to modernise student transportation systems by aligning safety, transparency, and scalability within a structured digital framework.
