According to Teena Sidana, the country manager of Alexa in India, the brand places a high priority on making the experience kid-friendly. In addition to adjusting to the child's age, the experience is designed to foster conceptual learning. Their comprehension and speed on the pop quizzes are impressive. The company also included parental settings to make sure the gadget is safe for children to use.

Loaded Features of Alexa+

During her remarks at the launch, Sidana emphasised that it would give parents greater flexibility when it came to configuring the gadget. According to her, Alexa+ in India is compatible with a wide range of services and devices that people use on a regular basis. This includes smart home control, shopping, meal planning, making reservations at restaurants, exploring new music, and entertainment. Alexa+ can communicate naturally in English, Hindi, and Hinglish.

When asked what sets Alexa+ apart from competing platforms, Alexa International VP Michele Butti emphasised the many ways in which Alexa+ stands out as a personal assistant. He stated that it is not a large language model (LLM). Because it employs a number of models to accomplish various tasks for clients, it has the potential to be an extremely complicated and advanced model. A large number of the device's own models are utilised. "I will refrain from referring to it as an upgrade because that is not accurate," Butti informed. The company really had to start again from the beginning. The original plan was to improve upon the original Alexa by adding creative AI capabilities.

Security Features and Pricing of Alexa+

Privacy and client control are still very important to Alexa+, according to Amazon. Initially, Alexa devices are handled locally, and they stay in standby mode until they detect the wake word. When users turn on Alexa, a blue light will show that she is listening. The Alexa Privacy Dashboard gives users access to their data, allows them to manage recordings, and reviews their interactions. With Alexa+'s multi-turn conversations feature, users may keep talking without having to say the wake word repeatedly.

The blue light stays on while users are talking and turns off when they stop talking. During Early Access, qualified users can get Alexa+ for free. Alexa+ will continue to be free for Prime members, according to Amazon. Alexa+ can be accessed by Prime Lite, Prime Shopping Edition, and non-Prime members for INR 2,000 per month separately or as part of a Prime subscription. Amazon claims that user comments will be utilised during the Early Access phase to enhance the experience.
