InstaAstro Raises $12 Million Series A Funding
InstaAstro raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, with participation from the company's founders. The round comes more than two years after its INR 18.5 crore pre-Series A round. The funds will expand its presence in regional and international markets and fund AI-led product development, including sentiment analysis and multilingual support.
Founded in 2021 by Nitin Verma, InstaAstro started as an astrology consultation app and has grown into a spiritual wellness platform offering astrology, tarot, numerology, vastu, puja services and spiritual commerce. It has 12 million registered users and more than 5,000 verified experts across 183 countries, with FY26 revenue more than doubling to INR 111.26 crore.
InspeCity Raises INR 100 Crore Pre-Series A Funding
InspeCity raised INR 100 crore, about $10.5 million, in a pre-Series A round co-led by Speciale Invest and investor Ashish Kacholia, with participation from Antler Elevate, Antler India, Manish Gandhi and Shastra VC. The company had earlier raised $5.6 million in seed funding and $1.5 million in a pre-seed round. The fresh capital will fund flight qualification and scale commercial activities.
Founded in 2022 by Arindrajit Chowdhury, InspeCity is an IIT-Bombay-incubated space tech startup developing in-space servicing, assembly and manufacturing technologies to extend satellite lifespans and address space debris. Over the next 12 to 18 months, it plans to execute four in-orbit missions validating its propulsion, sensing, robotics and docking capabilities.
TrucksUp Raises $8.2 Million Growth Round
TrucksUp raised $8.2 million in a funding round at a post-money valuation of $42.3 million, from institutional investors and family offices, along with co-founders Sarthak Shah Elwadhi and Aviraj Singh Chadha, who increased their stake. The funds will scale its technology and fleet solutions.
Founded in 2022 by Sarthak Shah Elwadhi and Aviraj Singh Chadha, TrucksUp is a Gurugram-based AI-driven digital freight marketplace connecting truck owners, fleet operators and drivers with businesses needing freight movement. It offers FASTag solutions, fuel programmes, insurance, vehicle financing, and buying and selling of commercial vehicles.
Omega Seiki Mobility Raises Another INR 50 Crore
Omega Seiki Mobility raised INR 50 crore on 20 August, co-led by Abhishek Misra of SKG Asset Management and Unistone Capital, with the Sanjeev Agarwal and Brijesh Parekh family offices also participating. This is the second INR 50 crore round the company has raised in six weeks, following a mid-July round from Securocorp Securities and other individual investors, taking the combined total to around INR 100 crore. The company says it is now weighing a public listing.
Founded in 2018, Omega Seiki Mobility is a Delhi-based electric vehicle maker that began with cargo three-wheelers and has since expanded into passenger vehicles, premium electric two-wheelers and electric light commercial vehicles, built out of plants in Faridabad, Pune and Dubai. It runs 150 touchpoints across India and wants to reach 250 by FY28, with customers including Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato and Porter.
OORJAA Raises INR 9.7 Crore Series A Funding
OORJAA raised INR 9.7 crore, about $1 million, in a Series A round led by Equentis Angel Fund, with participation from Inflection Point Ventures. This is the first close of a larger round, for which the company is in advanced discussions with a few VC funds. The funds will go towards technology and product development and scaling its proprietary AI stack, Datashastra.
Co-founded in 2019 by Sandeep Patil, Prashant Mohite, Yogesh Parab and Umesh Singh, OORJAA is a Mumbai-based technology-led logistics company operating mid-mile and last-mile networks across more than 200 Indian cities. It claims to move more than 3 million products and 50,000 last-mile orders daily, maintaining 95% SLA compliance for clients including Zepto, Blinkit, Amazon and Swiggy.
Biryani Bees Raises $1 Million From Vivek Oberoi Family Office
Biryani Bees raised $1 million from the Vivek Oberoi Family Office. The funds will help the company first reach 10 outlets and prove its model across multiple states, strengthen its central kitchen infrastructure, and build a repeatable expansion model before it raises a larger institutional round.
Founded by Nitin Tiwari and incubated by Wolfpack Labs, Biryani Bees is a biryani and Indian meals brand that operates on a central-kitchen-led model to keep food quality and pricing consistent as it expands. It currently runs three outlets in Uttar Pradesh, has an annual revenue run rate of around INR 25 crore, and says it is profitable.

TILT Launches INR 250 Crore Impact Fund For India's Next Billion
TILT, the impact-first investment platform from The/Nudge Foundation, launched an INR 250 crore venture fund for early-stage businesses serving what it calls India's Next Billion. The fund invests from seed to Series A, writing cheques of INR 2 crore to INR 16 crore, in science- and technology-led businesses across agriculture, climate resilience, informal work, MSME productivity, employability and financial inclusion.
The fund is anchored by the Livelihood Impact Fund, with backers including Deep Kalra, Amit Gupta, Hari Menon, Binny Bansal and the Raj and Indra Nooyi Family Office, and aims to back more than 150 startups and improve 100 million lives over 15 years. The/Nudge has supported more than 190 livelihoods-focused enterprises since its founding, deploying around INR 180 crore in grants.
Micromax Floats Family Office, Earmarks INR 250 Crore For Deeptech Startups
Micromax Informatics launched a family office with a corpus of INR 250 crore, nearly $26 million, to back deeptech startups in India and other global markets. The family office will invest in Pre-Series A to Series B startups building differentiated technologies, with average cheque sizes of INR 10 crore to INR 20 crore.
The family office will focus on sectors including AI, semiconductors, defence tech, spacetech and robotics, offering portfolio companies access to Micromax's semiconductor technology network, manufacturing capabilities and global partnerships. Founded in 2000, Micromax started as an IT software company before entering mobile phones in 2008 and has since diversified into electronics manufacturing and semiconductors.
OpenAI Rolls Out ChatGPT Ads In India
OpenAI began rolling out ads on ChatGPT in India, starting with logged-in adults on the Free and Go plans, while Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education subscribers remain ad-free. WPP and Omnicom are OpenAI's first agency partners in India, with more than 50 brands expected to go live within a week, and a self-serve ads manager opening on 4 September with daily budgets starting at INR 725.
The rollout gives OpenAI a new monetisation channel alongside subscriptions and enterprise deals, and comes as India heads into the festive shopping season. Ads will appear below ChatGPT responses when relevant, will be clearly labelled, and advertisers will not get access to users' conversations, chat history or personal details.
Deepinder Goyal's Temple Acquires London-Based Longevous
Deepinder Goyal's wearable startup Temple acquired London-based longevity medicine practice Longevous for an undisclosed sum, strengthening its clinical and scientific teams ahead of its first product launch. Longevous founders Robert Mohr and Avi Roy will join Temple full-time as chief medical officer and head of science, respectively.
The acquisition comes days after Goyal unveiled a smaller version of Temple's wearable, with pre-orders for a limited-edition version expected soon and shipments by the end of 2026. Temple raised $54 million in seed funding in February from investors including Steadview Capital, Peak XV Partners, Vy Capital and Info Edge Ventures, and has reportedly offered employees an ESOP buyback valuing the company at $375 million.
