Swiggy Launches Dedicated Helpline to Tackle Food Safety Concerns
Swiggy has introduced a 24x7 food safety helpline and an in-app “Food Safety” channel to enable customers report any concerns about their orders. Customers can raise complaints, attach photographs and monitor cases using ticket numbers.
On September 7th, Swiggy released two features specifically designed to improve customer assistance, reiterating the company's dedication to food safety. Customers can report any issues they may have about food safety to Swiggy's dedicated 24x7 helpline.
Concerns can be voiced by customers by dialling 7948231850. Also, Swiggy's in-app Help section now has a specialised "Food Safety" channel. Providing a straightforward and easy-to-understand channel for consumers to voice any issues they may have with their orders. Customers can use the app's specialised section to send a brief message and attach relevant images to voice their complaints.
How Swiggy’s New Helpline will Work?
In order for customers to track the progress of their complaint, a ticket number will be provided. Customers can report food safety concerns by contacting the dedicated helpline; they will also receive a link on the registered mobile number. Users can upload supplementary images and details about the problem through this link. The Swiggy Food Safety Assurance Team will prioritise the issues and take appropriate action in both circumstances.
While the brand is still actively collaborating with its restaurant partners to ensure food safety, Chief Business Officer Sidharth Bhakoo of Swiggy Food Marketplace shared his thoughts on the project by saying that it is also enhancing channels via which consumers may voice any issues they may have. Swiggy has always valued customer feedback and believes that these new touchpoints will help them find and fix any problems that may emerge.
Swiggy will use the app's dedicated helpline and channel as a tool for intelligence gathering. Thus, assisting Swiggy in recognising recurring issues, spotting trends, involving restaurant partners, and enhancing platform-wide preventive actions. The restaurant partners and Swiggy are still working together to promote the use of high-quality ingredients and make sure that the menu descriptions reflect that. Moreover, the business does hygiene and food safety training for its partners on a regular basis.
Zomato Cracks Down on Analogue Paneer
Analogue dairy dishes, such as those created with imitation paneer, are no longer allowed on Zomato. According to the corporation, they will not budge from their zero-tolerance stance on the selling of foods that use substitute dairy products. Also, these kinds of listings that restaurant partners have reported have previously been removed by the brand.
Analogue paneer and other dairy alternatives are coming under increasing scrutiny in India, prompting this approach. The manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and retail sale of counterfeit paneer have been outlawed in multiple Indian states. These include Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. In contrast to the milk used to make real paneer, a combination of vegetable oils, starches, emulsifiers, and other ingredients is typically used to make imitation paneer.
