Vault by Virat Kohli, India's premium franchise-led fitness chain, today announced that cricketer and entrepreneur VIRAT KOHLI and his brother, VIKAS KOHLI, have deepened their commitment by becoming strategic investors and formalising a collective 28% equity stake in the brand. The announcement comes on the heels of the brand accelerating its national footprint through a scalable, franchise-partner-driven expansion strategy.
Founded by fitness industry veteran Mukesh Gogia in 2023, Vault by Virat Kohli has rapidly evolved from a single-city concept into a fast-scaling franchise network serving a community of over 30,000 members nationwide. With this equity structure now officially in place, the brand is gearing up for its most ambitious growth phase yet, targeting 50+ operational clubs by the end of the year, with club sizes ranging from approximately 6,000 sq. ft. to 25,000 sq. ft.
While Vault has established a strong presence across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, including Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, and many more, its upcoming growth phase will focus heavily on Tier 3 cities, tapping into a surging, underserved demand for organised, premium fitness infrastructure.
Mukesh Gogia, Founder of Vault, said: "Virat Kohli and Vikas Kohli joining Vault as strategic investors marks a key milestone for the brand. Having them join our vision is a strong validation of where we're headed. Vault was built on the idea that premium fitness shouldn't be exclusive to a handful of metros — it should be accessible, community-driven, and consistent, whether you're training in Delhi or Gorakhpur. We're not just adding clubs, we're building a movement with a focus on performance, dedication, and a contemporary approach to fitness and wellness in India."
Speaking about the partnership, Vikas Kohli said, "We've always believed that the next wave of consumer brands in India will be built on strong communities and differentiated experiences, and Vault exemplifies both. What stood out to us is the brand's commitment to making high-quality fitness accessible beyond the traditional metro markets, while maintaining a sharp focus on member experience and operational excellence. We're excited to support Vault's journey as it continues to redefine how India engages with fitness and wellness, creating a scalable and impactful fitness ecosystem for the country's growing health-conscious population."
Vault's world-class training environment is built in partnership with some of the most recognised names in fitness equipment and recovery, including Matrix, Torque USA, and Precor for strength and cardio equipment, and Hyperice, which powers Vault's dedicated Recovery Rooms.
