Sanjeev Bikhchandani is an Indian Internet Entrepreneur, who founded a pure play firm, Info Edge (India) Limited in 1995. The company owns an online job portal Naukri.com, a matrimonial website Jeevansathi.com, a real estate classfields platform 99Acres.com and an educational website Shiksha.com. He is the co-founder of Ashoka University, located in Sonipat, Haryana, India. In January 2020, he received the Padma Shri award, which is recognized as the fourth highest civilian award in India. He received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2008. He is named in Forbes India Rich List 2020 with a net worth of $2.1 billion.

Sanjeev completed his elementary education from St. Columbia School, Delhi in 1981. He then received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi in 1984. He further took up a management course from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and cordially received his MBA degree in 1986.

While pursuing his post graduation, he worked as  the Account Executive at Lintas for 3 years. He then worked as a Product Executive at a multinational pharmaceutical firm, HMM (now, GlaxoSmithKline). He left the job in 1990 and established two companies, Indmark and Info Edge, along with one of his partner.

The company, Indmark was specialized at pharmaceutical trademarks while Info Edge produced salary surveys and reports. Sanjeev and his partner decided to part their ways and in 1993 both of them got one company each. Sanjeev got Info Edge and his partner got Indmark. He also worked as a Consulting Editor at The Pioneer from 1996 to 2000.

He is an active investor and has invested in unicorns like, Policybazaar, an insurance aggregator firm and Zomato, a food delivering company. He is also a part of the "Vision Circle" of FYI (Foundation for Young Innovators), which is a shark tank for social initiatives exclusively open for high school students.

Sanjeev founded Info Edge in 1995 and the company is headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Through Info Edge, he established many website businesses like, Naukri.com, 99Acres.com, Jeevansathi.com, and Shiksha.com.

The company went public in 2006 with the name Naukri. This is because more than 70% of the company's revenue comes from the job portal Naukri.com. In 2020, the company established a venture capital fund, Info Edge Venture Fund with an aim to invest in online startup companies.

It was a website business which helped its users to search online for job opportunities in India. He later established Quadrangle, which is an offline executive search business.

Eventually Naukri.com became India's largest web-based employment site in 2005. As of December 2016, the company claimed of having a database of about 49.5 million registered job seekers and an average of about 15,000 resumes were added daily.

Jeevansathi.com grossed profits for the first time in the first quarter of 2016-2017, earned 65 lakhs before interests and taxes. The revenue of the company grew from Rs.10.9 crore to Rs.14.6 crore in FY 2016-2017.
