In only two weeks, Amazon has doubled the number of cities in India that can take use of its lightning-fast delivery service, Amazon Now. The following cities now have faster delivery times: Amritsar, Abohar, Jalandhar, Ambala, Mangalore, Manipal, Vizag, Kochi, Changanassery, Bhubaneswar, and Karwar. Frozen foods, fresh produce, and other grocery items are among the tens of thousands of items available through the service.

In addition, it sells items for the house and kitchen, as well as items for the skincare and fashion. Almost 800 urban and micro-fulfilment centres work together to complete orders.

During this festive season, the company plans to keep expanding and provide customers with the best assortment of products and the quickest delivery times possible. Over the previous three months, Amazon Now's annualised total sales in India hit $1 billion, the company revealed in September. By expanding Amazon Now to more than 300 cities in India, the business is well on its way to creating the biggest "delivery-in-minutes" network in the country.

According to the company, it is still expanding its specialised fulfilment infrastructure so that consumers all over the nation have access to the widest variety of products sold by sellers at any given time. In celebration of Amazon Now's Great Indian Festival, which begins on October 8, shoppers can save money on a variety of items. Among the many categories offered by Amazon India are cellphones, electronics, clothing, cosmetics, home goods, and more, all of which are regularly discounted. Using an SBI credit or debit card or an EMI transaction will offer customers 10% off immediately. Additional discounts of up to 10% are available to Prime members.

The ground competition between fast commerce providers like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Flipkart Minutes, and Amazon Now has been highlighted in multiple analyst studies. This year, online sales for the festival season could increase by as much as 29%. In light of consumers' growing expectation of minute-by-minute delivery of food, electronics, and personal care products, a report by Datum Intelligence predicts that this number might rise to INR 1.55 trillion ($17.6 billion) by 2025 from INR 1.20 trillion.
