Snapdeal Co-Founder Kunal Bahl Warns Tech Professionals: ‘Biggest Threat Is Not AI, It’s Those Who Use It Better’s
Snapdeal and Titan Capital Co-Founder, Kunal Bahl, recently shared a sharp warning on LinkedIn about the future of tech careers. He said the real threat isn’t AI itself, but people who know how to use it better.
“The biggest threat to your tech career isn't AI. It’s the person who knows how to use it better than you,” Bahl wrote. His message points to a clear divide between professionals who are learning to use AI tools and those who are not.
AI-Native Professionals Are Pulling Ahead
Bahl explained that AI-native employees across roles, engineers, product managers, sales, finance, legal, and marketing, are now moving faster and achieving more than those who stick to old methods. “AI-native engineers, PMs, sales, finance, legal and marketing professionals are outshining and out-pacing those who aren't upskilling at lightning speed,” he noted.
These professionals are experimenting with AI tools and finding ways to make their work more productive. They can complete tasks faster, make smarter decisions, and adapt to changes quickly.
Old Guard vs AI-Native: A Clear Difference
Bahl highlighted two groups in the workforce. The “Old Guard” relies on manual workflows, slow processes, and traditional methods. They often struggle to keep up with new tools.
The “AI-Native” group, on the other hand, is highly productive and employable. They constantly try out AI tools and use them to improve their work. Bahl said they are “hyper-productive, hyper-employable, always trying out and implementing AI agents and tools.”
The difference is clear: those who use AI tools effectively are getting ahead, while others risk falling behind.
The Change Is Already Happening
Bahl warned that this is not a future problem. “The replacement isn't coming; it’s already happening,” he wrote. Companies are already favouring employees who can deliver faster and smarter results with AI.
For professionals, this is a wake-up call. Skills that worked before may no longer be enough. Bahl asked a direct question to his audience: “Are you upgrading yourself fast enough?”
Upskilling Is Key
The message is simple. Learning to use AI tools is no longer optional. Those who embrace AI and adapt will stay relevant. Those who do not risk being left behind.
